Peace sells needed that remaster pretty bad
|
Yes, I appreciate Peace Sells so much more now that the sound is better.
|
I saw the original and a remasters in a CD Store that lets you listen to 30 second clips before you buy...glad I got the remasters
|
The remasters are crap and unecessary.
|
The remasters are crap and unecessary.
On some of them. Since Megadeth spent half of production money on Peace Sells on drugs it could use a remaster and it is pretty damn good |
The remasters are crap and unecessary.
For Rust In Peace, Countdown, Youthanasia, and Cryptic Writings, yes. For Peace Sells and So Far So Good So What, I beg to differ. |
No need at all for Countdown. That was awesome. Same for RIP
|
They all sounded fine.
Killing Is My Business was the only one that actually needed a remaster, that's why it was done earlier in 2002. |
hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?
|
hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?
heh yeah it would and George W. Bush might also get a brain. /sarcasm no way in hell it's happenin |
hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?
Not really. |
that would be kick *** but Mustaine and Hetfield need to have a talk like Lar and Dave did but I don't really see that happening.
I saw a video of Friedman on a Jap. Metal show going against Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big) and they had a part were it was playing a band's song from A to Z and when it hit M Marty played Seek and Destory first then Holy Wars I'm wondering how I could get an Ibanez V like Paul had on there P.S. pep you shouldn't really bring Metallica up in a Megadeth thread that will start to much unwanted crap |
Seeing as Megadeth is a great band, I decided to start a thread for them. Hopefully this will get cough*official*cough. So the next Megadeth album is out in September. Do you think they will have a tour to go with it? I really want to see them live.
I have no doubt about them being good, but one of there members is formally from Metallica and he says leaving Metallica for Megadeth was the biggest mistake of his life, sorry , just wanted to make that clear, carry on |
we already know that and if you looked I stated that a few pages ago
|
we already know that and if you looked I stated that a few pages ago
obviously i didnt look then, seeming how there is over 100 pages to look through, |
Everyone knows that Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica. It's not really a secret. He was bitching about it for years.
|
Yeah but apparently there's some reason that "will one day be revealed", why he was kicked out of 'Tallica.
It was probably because he was too awesome. |
Killing Is My Business!!!
Rust In Peace!!! Countdown to Extinction!!! I hate peace sells and I hate The SYstem Has Failed and all teh new ****. They've gotten crap. Its cool that Menza is back but they will never be the same again its pretty much the legendary Megadave fighting a losing battle to keep his band alive. Marty Friedman is a retard now. I used to love that guy until i met him in person at a guitar clinic. He told everyone he doesnt listen to metal anymore and now he's into J-Pop and Canto Pop. It may have been to flatter the audience but I felt like kicking his *** for it, I asked him to sign my rust in peace CD sleeve and went home very unsatisfied. Sweating Bullets isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's meant for Megadeth enthusiasts to practice their Mustaine vocal impersonations and laugh till they drop. |
Menza isn't back...
So what, it's his choice to do what he wants. Liking J-Pop and Canto Pop doesn't make him a crappy guitarist. Maybe he's sick of metal after playing it for 15 years non-stop. You asked him to sign it and he did? Yet you went home unsatisfied? |

You asked him to sign it and he did? Yet you went home unsatisfied?
I went home unsatisfied because because I lost all respect for this man that I had once respected. This is not just because he listens to pussy music now. It is also because of the short conversation we had. I spoke to him of myself as a guitarist and asked him of my chances for the future. He told me 'It doesn't really matter how good you are, it's how good you look while doing it.' I was shocked by this stupid statement and coming from someone like him it wasn't great. I am open to the possibility he was just being a bit of a **** and screwing with me. |
You're a poor liar.
|
You're a poor liar.
You talking to me? |
Yes.
|
Yes.
What is it that you think im lying about? I can assure you my lying is brilliant thought nothing I have said here has been a lie. |
O_o
"How look you good while doing it?" Yeah, right. |
He said it. In a way its true and I agree. I just felt it was wrong to ahve come from him. 'How good you look while doing it" Basically your audience are not all professional guitarists, if you put on a good show and aren't that horrible you should be OK and they wont tell, turn your distortion up and do a lot of tricks. If you don't beleive he said it there isn't much I can do about that, my friends were there and they all heard it but it would be unrealistic to assume they can offer proof in any way if you remain skeptic. I'd rather you didnt insult my intergity by calling me a liar and a 'poor' one at that cos I'm not lying.
|
Oh, I interpreted what you originally said wrong, sorry. I though you meant he said it was all about looking good.
Welcome. |
That really doesn't sound like how I expected Marty to be:(
|
Oh, I interpreted what you originally said wrong, sorry.
Welcome.
Ah yes I see that now. No problem. |
That really doesn't sound like how I expected Marty to be:(
Heh, that'a what I originally though :D |
He wasn't what I expected either. He doesn't look you in the eye, he seems to look past you which is kind of creepy, it's as if he's almost cross-eyed but not quite I guess it depends on how close you are to him because I onyl noticed when we got closer to get our stuff signed. He's got his hair all nicely styled now and trimmed. He's really into his stuff and he's still very focused on guitar and his solo work and his clinics.
|
Oh, good, my perspective of Megadeth's best guitarist ruined.
Bah. |

Was he drunk? |
Oh, good, my perspective of Megadeth's best guitarist ruined.
Bah.
Yeah mine too. Grr /me not happy now |
I'm starting to believe he's drunk.
Not making eye-contact, looking like he's looking past you, saying that playing guitar is all about image... |
wow, a guitarist like Marty saying guitar is all about image, i thought i'd never see the day.
|
for Marty's skill he is in the right music genre....metal isn't a good play for a guitarist that great. the only other genre I could have seen him do would be shred
|
Yeah but apparently there's some reason that "will one day be revealed", why he was kicked out of 'Tallica.
It was probably because he was too awesome.
he got kicked out due to him being a drunk and punching James when he was drunk and crusing Lars out and punching him as well when they trying to pull each other apart |
I think he was probably drunk. From everything you're told us that's the best answer I can come up with...or he really is just a jerk....but I've never got that impression before
