Here's what I bought at the used CD store today:
Kids Like Us- The 80s are Dead
Modern Life Is War- My Love, My Way
Outbreak- You Make Us Sick
Killing The Dream- s/t
Lights Out- Get Out

It was a good day for cds...

dislocated214 02-04-2005 04:53 PM

I have a question about the band Good Clean Fun. What year did they break up, and is there any news on reuniting, or their other projects? And can you tell me about their history with Dischord records, I know they wanted to put a record out with Dischord but what happened with it? Ian didn't give me a straight answer either.

Oh, so you personnally know Ian Mackaye?

NewKindofArmy03 02-04-2005 05:41 PM

I think he met him on career day or something.

40 oz 2 freedom 02-04-2005 06:01 PM

That's cool if you do. My dad knows H.R.

Does anyone have some Stop and Think on soulseek? This band I might sing for is covering it, so I need it to learn it.

CONNER_NWHC 02-04-2005 06:15 PM

I know a few people here like the band Verse. Anyone else like em? I just downloaded alot of it and it's really good. Another reason why Rivalry is one of my favourtie labels.

shane italian 02-04-2005 06:54 PM

Guns Up! rule.

NewKindofArmy03 02-04-2005 08:46 PM

I need to check out all of these bands, I never got around to doing so. I checked out Down to Nothing yesterday, and I was impressed. I might go see them in NJ next month with some local bands.

CONNER_NWHC 02-04-2005 08:55 PM

Meet Reiner in NJ

NewKindofArmy03 02-04-2005 08:57 PM

If he decides to come down, but it's in South Jersey. It's some holiday the next day, so i'm off from school too.

cbmartinez 02-04-2005 09:28 PM

What town?

NewKindofArmy03 02-04-2005 09:33 PM

Pennsauken.

cbmartinez 02-04-2005 09:35 PM

I'll ask my mom how far away that is from here.

NewKindofArmy03 02-04-2005 09:37 PM

PYAA Fieldhouse

Down to Nothing
My Turn To Win
Let Down

There's the info, you can mapquest it if you want. Also, do you know where Galloway is? There's another decent show there Feb 18th.

cbmartinez 02-04-2005 09:42 PM

44 minutes. Doesn't look good considering my parents only let me go to shows with someone and no one in Lawrence even knows what hardcore is. I haven't heard of Galloway though.

Let's Chop Cats! 02-04-2005 11:15 PM

Hour and a half drive. Not worth driving that far.
What genre would Avenged Sevenfold be?
Metalcore.
Avenged Sevenfold owns the hizzle fo shizzle, my wigger.

40 oz 2 freedom 02-05-2005 12:37 PM

If you say so.

sytar 02-05-2005 12:41 PM
If you say so.
It has to have SOME metal influences when the lyrics are saying crap about the human blood everywhere screaming at them. That and the guitars are very heavy, In addition to the amount of breakdowns.

# Breakdowns
Metalcore>Hardcore

40 oz 2 freedom 02-05-2005 12:42 PM

I'd say they're just plain metal.
