yea, its alexi doing the low vocals. theres several parts where he goes from low to high , same person.

Thor 10-04-2005 05:21 AM
 yeah its henkka i think
i love black widow, playing it at a gig soon :D
Yes, Henkka does those vocals. I'm positive.

And Black Widow is an awesome song, one of the best off of Hatebreeder. :thumb:

Taste_My_Scythe 10-04-2005 10:54 AM
I think lack of musicians around here is the biggest reason why I've never bothered to learn any. We have no drummers at all, one guitarist, and a few bassists who desperately hate metal. That leaves me and another guitarist to play, which doesn't work out too well. Playing a song isn't nearly as fun on my own either.
Agreed. It's hard here too. Practically every musician I know plays the guitar.
Your all hot
Nice. I've been meaning to relearn Kissing the Shadows.
YOU FOOL!!!!!
 It's true. Fool.

I think I'm going to learn (or attempt to learn) Red Light In My Eyes Pt. 2.

I don't think Henkka does the vocals.
It has to be, I don't think Alexi can go that deep.
Haven't you heard pre-CoB when they were named Inearthed? he did som very low vocals during that time.

MRDuCran 10-04-2005 01:53 PM

Alexi goes pretty low on Warheart, after the verses and choruses.

"I'm the warheart, I'm dying to win the battle I live everyday
One for all and all for me, I'm an animal, better set me free"

That bit.

Moses 10-04-2005 02:12 PM

That's sooo powermetal right there.

IheartSP 10-04-2005 02:13 PM

Henkka doesn't do any vocals that you really notice, Alexi does all the low ones.

dest. Chaos 10-04-2005 02:20 PM

yeah...

Speaking of Inearthed...the in one of their songs (I haven't downloaded them yet, a friend let me listen to it so I don't know the name) there is singing...is that Alexi?

Wow, can you tell me why you rated those the way you did?

Shadows 10-04-2005 06:03 PM

What was wrong with the way he rated them? God forbid any of us should be able to love the new album without being criticized.

/is bitter from my AYDY? review

Now don't mind me saying, but CoB does actually have some bad songs. Not every album was perfect.

Why you liked AYDY? so much, I guess.

Shadows 10-04-2005 06:09 PM
Now don't mind me saying, but CoB does actually have some bad songs. Not every album was perfect.
I don't see the point in racking my brain trying to pinpoint miniscule, worthless falws. No band/album is perfect. CoB is my favorite band and I could listen to any one of their albums, start to finish, and love every second. That merits a 10 in my book.
Why you liked AYDY? so much, I guess.
In that case, my point stands. If he likes it then he likes it. I don't see why he should be interrogated about it. It's no different than liking any other CoB album for God's sake, it just sounds different.

To your first statement: Fair enough.

To your second statement: I wasn't trying to interrogate him or anything, I just wanted to see why he liked the new CoB more than the old CoB because most people in here prefer the old sound.

Shadows 10-04-2005 06:13 PM

I understand, I'm just a little fed up about all the intense criticism about the new album. While many of us around here like it, most people everywhere else hates it. I say take as it is: a music album. Whether it's power metal or not, it doesn't fucking matter. Music is music, and there's no point in dismissing music because of the label.

Thor 10-04-2005 06:16 PM

Don't get me wrong, I like the new album. Just not as much as the older material, but that doesn't mean I think it's bad. Living Dead Beat is one of Bodom's best songs, if you ask me.

Shadows 10-04-2005 06:18 PM

I like much of the older material better too, but many AYDY? songs I would rate as some of my all-time favorites. They pulled off the new style incredibly well by mixing heaviness, melody, keyboards, and soloing. I've never heard anything like it by any band, and I think they deserve extra credit for experimenting eith something new.

NP: Bastards of Bodom

MRDuCran 10-04-2005 06:47 PM

Yeah why do we have to keep arguing about this, people like what they like, leave it at that.

IheartSP 10-04-2005 07:27 PM

New album is good but no matter how much people try and tell you here, music is objective, not just subjective. In terms of sheer musicianship the old stuff was better. Whether you like it more or not is a matter of taste.

Shattered_Future 10-04-2005 08:43 PM
Ben, when you get a chance, hit me up on AIM (if you use it)...I need some of that uber anti christian black metal.

I'll give you some stuff in return...i got a large list.

AIM: ChildrenOfFilth6
Once again, my offer stands.

This goes for anybody. I REALLY need some of this stuff for my project.
