Both bands come from scenes related punk that share a lot of those values and have shows with popular touring bands for $15 or less.

The story I heard was that they got ripped off, Jeremy posted a promoters phone number and eventually took it down. Getting ripped off is getting ripped off and a promise is a promise, there's no reason to stick up for a shitty promoter that bails on paying you for a show. In a separate incident, the dude's mom made a twitter to defend him when he caught a lot of flack for "being a faggot" or some other dumb thing that kids call each other on the internet.
