Anyone see the first start of the german GP?

Jesus ****ing christ

first corner was like a centimetre underwater and they were all on slicks or inters

jamjar602 07-22-2007 11:15 AM

the hotel part is rite at the top so all the heat rises up to it n makes it pretty warm actually, and yeh theres a tiny portable heater, plus the huge industrial cookers kinda heat the place up a wee bit!emm thers no dragon as far as i know...we have three golf buggys though to 'transport personell and food stuffs'

I havnt seen it yet, im going to watch the highlights, i saw some pictures online though, the track looked like a river, the wet racers are the best, i wish they where all wet races :(

Also, i just watched mythbusters, and they tried to run a car so fast it would out run a speed camera, there conclusion was "no, it cannot, myth busted"

which angered me, because i remember watching years ago, this video....

So clearly, they can be outrun, the problem is on mythbusters, they used a lamborghini murcielago, yes, extremely quick, but they didnt go past 130mph or so.

No dragon = not a castle imo.

jamjar602 07-22-2007 01:40 PM

it is therefore now my quest (lol) to find a dragon in my large building much resembling a castle but lackin a major artifact....at least i have something to do at work now instead of sleep

Just watching the f1. There 3/4 of the msot eventfull laps ive seen in a while.

Everyone aquaplaning off reminded me of Brazil a couple of years back where people just couldnt stay on the track around the senna s, and there was just a huge pack of abaondoned cars lined up there.

Squirrel 07-23-2007 03:33 AM

I cant stand F1, at all. It's worse than baseball, which is an amazing feat.

I have a job interview tomorrow.

Jev 07-23-2007 05:11 AM

F1 is one of the few sports I can stand.

2muchket! 07-23-2007 05:14 AM

I love F1, but then again I'll watch most sports.

Squirrel 07-23-2007 05:14 AM

gtfo

I love f1, but most races are dull and boring these days, there might be a lap of 2 of somethign exciting, but then its just dull. But i still love it.

And i just ordered tickets to go see ross noble :)

Squirrel 07-23-2007 05:40 AM

Ross Noble is awesome.

2muchket! 07-23-2007 07:32 AM

He's not that funny. Honestly I saw one of his shows I wasn't impressed. He just waffled about nothing really.

He's ace, i like him for waffling on about nothing, he just seems to go off an random tangents about absolutely nothing, its great.

2muchket! 07-23-2007 07:47 AM

Meh each to their own. He can't really stand up to Lee Evans tho in terms of comedy.

Dr Hooch 07-23-2007 08:12 AM

I just installed the 1996 classic "gran prix 2" through dosbox and it's so realistic

ie

the first half lap is interesting

and after that

not so much

finishing even a 20 minute race is a real test of how easily bored you are

I used to have that, and i also baught GP3, and 4, and i have f12002, there all very fun, but i never do anything more then a 10 lap race.

Dr Hooch 07-23-2007 09:17 AM

what's fun is going through the pack backwards

"how many cars can i take out

before mine won't drive anymore?"

Oh yeah, i did that, its best if you put your car on invincible and do it, just destroy everyone else and then you can win the race too.

 opinion completely invalidated when you say that lee evans is anything above 'worthless pile of **** that deserves HIV'.

2muchket! 07-23-2007 12:55 PM

Nah.

If you honestly believe Lee Evans isn't a good stand up then your idea of this form of comedy is very misconstrued

2muchket! 07-23-2007 12:59 PM

I don't think you get what I'm saying so I'll just give up.

Squirrel 07-23-2007 01:36 PM

No, i get what youre saying and my retort is perfectly applicable.

Grohlthegreat 07-23-2007 01:47 PM

I find Ross Noble funnier than Lee Evans. Lee is good but i found i could only watch the same performance twice, after that i didnt find it particularly funny.

Everyone turn on BBC2 now and revel in what is the best program currently on tv these days, 20th Century Battlefields.

It wipes the floor with everything else around atm imo. JUST LOOK AT THE LITTLE CG TANKS!!!! :D

2muchket! 07-23-2007 02:01 PM

CG TANKS !!!

this I have to see

Dead Star 07-23-2007 03:43 PM

I actually watched that.
