I've got an English project due Friday, and I'm just starting it.

The problem is, I can't do a fair bit of it until tomorrow, and..Tomorrow I'm at Pipe Band practise all after school 3-9 and so I can't ask to skip it, because my dad'll give me a go for putting off ANOTHER project.

well stew i think i can honestly tell you that you are NOT going to die so it'll be alright there.

what's the project??? i have some much school garbage to do before spring break in the next two weeks.

I've gotta' write a 2 page Biography on Octavio Paz, and then write a 5+ page story that's part fictional, part fact, based on Octavio Paz's life..Where I'm someone he knows and I'm writing about him and me and stuff.

The writing parts are easy, it's getting ALL this information before tomorrow/Friday

yea probably because it doesn't sound that difficult but i've never heard of that guy before, so ya that's prolly gotta suck.

I'm actually doing a paper kind of like that well a research paper nothing else is the same haha. it's for history and im doing it on the Enron scandal and how it effected society and changed accounting practices it sucks.

Got back from looking at a couple of universities. I left yesterday morning drove to a university about 2 hours away from here and toured it and crapped. It looked pretty nice, but the residence was a sh[I]i[/I]thole. Then today we went to a university 3 and a half hours from my place and it was probably one of the nicest universities I've seen. Too bad I'm not going to go there. But it had amazing residence and altogether really nice. I'm going to get a few friends and travel up to Ottawa and look at 3 universities up there this summer.

Today is Steak and BJ day.

Why are you looking at a university if you have no intention of going there?

My mom is making me tell her what colleges I want to go look at and I don't want to go anywhere really. Just stuff in Florida that I can look at on my own time when I'm down there, she wont take me down there to see them.

I don't have any intention in going there anymore. Now that I've looked at it, I've decided I don't want to. It was also nice to get to see some of the campus' and be able to compare them when I go to others and be able to distinguish between what is good and what isn't. Considering one of the tour guides showed us her dorm room and said it was big. And it was like 8' by 8'. There are much bigger.

beat but tbh, im not even sure why i come to this forum anymore, but You want an honest answer about why I come to this forum? I come to enjoy myself. That’s all. It really is as simple as that. I come here for the same reasons that any other user does. Now, why should I be penalized for doing whatever I can to keep this place enjoyable for me, and anyone else who comes here? I don’t really understand it, to be honest. I’ve always tried to come across as a nice person on Mx. I’m usually the guy who comes into threads with the intent to help if it’s needed. I think it’s funny, how I’ve heard that a lot of users and even members of the mod staff like to berate me for that. Behind my back. Over actions on the internet. I actually find think that’s funny. Just look at my user title. It’s amazing how people can take a website so seriously. It’s amazing that I and other helpful, friendly users can be looked down upon by a supposed majority of ****ty users. You see, that’s one of the biggest problems. If this place has degenerated so much that actual constructive people are outweighed to such a degree as every common troll, hacker, and retard, then it might not even be worth coming to. You say I act like I want to be a mod. Well, based on the actions of people like you, being a mod isn’t something I would wish on anyone. Being a mod should be a symbol of contribution, commitment, and overall excellence in the usage of either the forums or Sputnik. I think it really sucks how people who invest so much of their time in making sure that this place stays available for your enjoyment get treated like this. No, I wouldn’t wish a moderating position on here on anybody. Oh, and I don’t spend all day in one forum, least of all Site. Thanks. Yeah, my parents have some money saved up but not enough for my first year. I have a school in mind. It's in Ottawa and if I get accepted and have an 80% average coming out of grade 12, I automatically get $1,000 scholarship each year. 84% - $2,000 each year, 88% - 2,500, 92% - 3,000, 95% - 4,000. So I'm going to push for a 90% average next year and try an get the $2,500 entrance scholarship. Then if I have the 90% then I'm eligible to get other scholarships that are worth $5,000 - $7,500 each year.

But if I can only get an 80% average like I have all through high school then I will have to get a student loan for my first year. After my first year I'm hoping to be able to get work at the General Motors plants not too far from my house right now. I can work there for 4 months and get paid $28 an hour and work full time. So if I can do that after my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of uni then I can pay any loan that I may have got and pay for the years after. I should be able to save up enough to buy a car too.
