You just sit in a room for 2 hours a week?

Brain Toad 05-09-2006 04:00 PM
You just sit in a room for 2 hours a week?
And do math homework, yeah. It's probably really great if you need help from the tutors and all. Though it actually gets me to do my homework, which I otherwise forget. But the math course I'm taking next semester doesn't require it, thankfully.

coheneran 05-09-2006 04:00 PM

Lol, Keith Richards just had brain surgery. "See, mum was right, rock'n'roll makes you stupid." THAT is what they are going to say on next week's Have I Got News For You. I can feel it. And the audience will laugh, even though it's not funny. They always do.

KingOfSka 05-09-2006 04:00 PM

The drummer of my band just had a 7cm tumor found in his chest. :(

He texted me during class saying "Cancer above my heart, getting surgery soon...". I just broke the news to my bassist and singer. We're visiting him in the hospital this weekend.

They actually had Firefox installed on there, I was so happy I didn't have to use IE. But the mice didn't have a scroll wheel and I was all disorientated because of it. I kept rubbing the center of the mouse.

**** me. How old is he?

I hope he gets better.:(

Hagbard Celine 05-09-2006 04:02 PM

naw man, put WOW on that **** and rig it so the school is paying the bill. I don't know that it's remotely possible to do that (and the fact that WOW sucks), but if you could get some rediculous game on to the school's network AND have them pay for it... It... It brings a tear to my eye.:chug:

Greg Ginn 05-09-2006 04:03 PM

That sucks, one of my friends had a brain tumor twice but he's fine now. But it could come back.

KingOfSka 05-09-2006 04:03 PM

Hes 15. It's awful. :upset:

Eww! That's gotta come under some sort of 'cest. Mouscest? I don't know. All I know is that the 2012 Olympics are ruining London now and it'll be the people of London paying for it later. As well as now.
Hes 15. It's awful.:upset:
Shhhit. That's terrible. Cancer sucks, it's awful to see people having to live with it.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 04:04 PM

They're in London?

Brain Toad 05-09-2006 04:06 PM

They're trying to get like the 2020 or something Oylmpics in SF, that'd be really cool to see.

Greg Ginn 05-09-2006 04:06 PM

I hate the olympics, they take up too much tv time.

Flagjacket 05-09-2006 04:07 PM

Play music for him.

KingOfSka 05-09-2006 04:07 PM

2010 olympics are in Whistler, which is like an hour from where I live.

Some of the events are going to be held half an hour from where I live.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 04:07 PM

My dad saw a bunch of the 1980 olympics.

coheneran 05-09-2006 04:13 PM

The Olympics are terrible for London. They're expanding all the main ring roads for them, they'll be bulldozing a massive massive MASSIVE part of the East End to build the Olympic village and all the other crap, they're relocating people and businesses (in many cases the people being relocated aren't fairly compensated [even when it IS fair to chuck someone out of their home, regardless of how much money you give them]) and many businesses are refusing to move, I support them. They already predicted it's going to cost more than the budget they have set, and Londoners are going to be paying for it. We're also gonna be choked down with tourists (tourism is fine, when it's not over the top), the Tube workers are probably going to strike (which will be funny), and the Met are going to have a hard time keeping it all under control. Not that I will help.

Greg Ginn 05-09-2006 04:15 PM

Don't the Tube workers always go on strike?

Flagjacket 05-09-2006 04:34 PM

So you mean that your city will have lots of people in it.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 04:35 PM

The Olympics are fun.

Rise Me Up 05-09-2006 04:52 PM

I don't think I've ever watched any of the olympics.

SantaDuJuan 05-09-2006 05:36 PM

I did once; I think.

<---NoFX---> 05-09-2006 05:39 PM

I occasionally watch it when it's on although usually that's only when I have nothing better to do

Liebensaft 05-09-2006 05:50 PM

I never see it when it's on, but hear all about it, and then they end and don't come back for 4 years.

I've heard Philadelphia is trying really hard for the 2016 games. I'd consider seeing some of that, but I'd stay the hell out of the city during it otherwise.

Jessizzle 05-09-2006 05:53 PM

Toronto comes close every year, and fails.

Liebensaft 05-09-2006 05:59 PM

That's because god hates Canada.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 06:00 PM

God hates all cold places.

Liebensaft 05-09-2006 06:10 PM

He's not real fond of Noo Yawk.

Danger Bird 05-09-2006 06:26 PM

God damn it, somebody just crooked my fucking bike. :upset:

Liebensaft 05-09-2006 06:33 PM

Duuuuuuuude. Beat. My bike got stolen before. It sucks a lot.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 06:38 PM

I wish I had a cool bike.

Liebensaft 05-09-2006 06:40 PM

I can play the beginning of "I Ain't Marching Anymore" on guitar, and I've only ever played guitar in music class when they tried to teach us in like 7th grade.

Brain Toad 05-09-2006 07:02 PM

I may start riding my bike this summer.

In other news, I'm on page 4 of my paper for my Sociology class, and I only just finished the first part. Though, a lot is kind of fillerish and I may take a lot out if I get a chance to rewrite before Thursday. Hopefully I'm doing this all right and I'll get a good grade on it.

asdf 05-09-2006 07:10 PM

I'm not only planning on bike riding for fun this summer, I'm planning on using it as my main form of transportation, only bumming car rides when it's extremely important. Also building a tall bike and helping friends fix bikes is in order.

This summer will consist of living like a hippie.

Instead of getting my liscense, I'll bike.

Instead of getting a job, I'll sell tie-dye at the farmer's market

Instead of buying my friends gifts, I'll make them shirts and patches (this also will be used to "pay" for gas money, which they demand greatly for driving me).

POINTLESS5448 05-09-2006 07:31 PM

i used to bike all the time back in the good ole days.
we used to go on adventures and ride across town to the skate shop or sister subs and on the way we would hit up hills and jumps such as the jewish jumper. that was a good one.

AIRIC 05-09-2006 08:49 PM

Yeah I used to bike a lot when I was younger too.

BCT 05-09-2006 09:22 PM
I wish I had a cool bike.
steal one that seems to be a popular option

AIRIC 05-09-2006 09:24 PM

I don't steal :(.

Hagbard Celine 05-09-2006 09:25 PM
steal one that seems to be a popular option
also train tracks are a prime spot to find fixer-upper bikes for some reason.

@asdf: how the hell do you build a tall bike? ie: where can i get a blueprint?

BCT 05-09-2006 09:31 PM

back in the day we would walk ever where or skateboard it was a bitch but fun at times. What is worse then that though is when someone you are with has a bike and you don’t and you have to ****ing run. That **** still happens to me from time to time and I have a car now.
