it's kind of a standardish fantasy premise but done really well

mulltiple kingdoms struggling for the throne with the oncoming of winter which hasn't come for a lifetime or something

yeah thats a pretty good description of it

there's a lot of political intrigue in the plot so it's kinda similar to the wire in that respect, also in the lack of a traditional good vs evil dichotomy for the most part

sounds like an elder scrolls game on film
