I was playing barritone today, i think its a kind of tuba? Amiright? Well its pretty heavy which makes it hard to play. but it was fun to fool around on.

shane italian 09-15-2005 06:57 PM

I was always first chair when I played tuba. I kind of miss it. It would be really easy for me to start playing again though.

Shtein 09-15-2005 06:57 PM

I think its the same thing. It's hard to play any brass instrument or at least I can't seem to buzz my lips properly to make a sound.

KingOfSka 09-15-2005 07:06 PM

Maybe someday we'll have enough horns to do a decent C22 song in the Punk Forum Band.

My mate's girlfriend (5 foot nothing) plays the euphonium. That's a laugh and a half to see.

sketchyjoe 09-15-2005 08:27 PM

There was this guy who I sat next to for 2 years in English and I probably said more words to him while drunk in the last 30 minutes than in the last 2 years.

guns_of_brixton 09-15-2005 08:32 PM

Woody Guthrie user title, Joe?

I've got "This Machine Kills Hippies" stencilled on my drums.

sketchyjoe 09-15-2005 08:36 PM

YES!

Woody rules!

RIP Ian Curtis 09-15-2005 08:37 PM

Any songs you'd reccomend? I've heard a bunch of stuff from his son, and I know he inspired alot of Bob Dylan's earlier, folky stuff.

guns_of_brixton 09-15-2005 08:40 PM

Without Woody Guthrie we might not have punk rock, or a least the lyrical aspect of it.

sketchyjoe 09-15-2005 09:08 PM

Song to Woody was the first song Dylan wrote.

My kidneys really really really fucking hurt.

AIRIC 09-15-2005 09:12 PM

You have kidney stones. I had 3 before.

sketchyjoe 09-15-2005 09:14 PM

I don't have kidney stones.

I'm just really really drunk.

AndreTheHyena 09-15-2005 09:17 PM

Woody Guthrie is shaping up to be the new Against Me!/Conflict/NWA/Johnny Cash.

I saw him at house shows before he was signed. Eat me.

I have trouble typing when I'm drunk.

sketchyjoe 09-15-2005 09:19 PM

Every post is taking me at least 4 go's to get right.
