I think that it is better than Common Mans Collapse.It is a lot more diverse, and is a big step forward.Although I think it lacks the intensity of All Things Set Aside, also it is way too short.

it's better than the last album but still not as great as i know they have the potential to be. still way too much meshuggah mockery

the melodic parts on [id] are the best they've ever done but the breakdowns are becoming increasingly stale. at least a few of them on the common man's collapse [I]ruled[/I]

it doesn't have the energy, just sounds flat

I think the breakdown at the end of Unbreakable rules.That part is so heavy live.

The production is very clear, but it's way too digital I'll agree. Michael Keene is just really, really mechanical with his mixing always. Hell, everyone on Sumerian is it seems.

3/5 is my current rating too. Mowgli and Conquer are so good though.

Breakdown on unbreakable rules, the one on Mowgli ****ing sucks though, so anti-climactic

intro was probably the best song on the album :\

I did notice the chug chug guitar parts didn't sound as heavy as I would hope. They probably don't tune that low.

pretty sure they're in the same tuning they were in on the last album (drop b)

also, did anyone else notice that they totally just used the intro lead from "it's not safe to swim today" all over again in "codex"?

I did notice.They used a couple riffs from their old cd too.

So I checked out those Whitechapel demos and the vocals sound so much better.Phils Gutterals rule.
