You're welcome. :)
|
I was learning Everytime I Die yesterday. That sweep in the intro was tough but I got it down ok.
|
Nice. I've been meaning to relearn Kissing the Shadows.
Once again I agree that we shouldn't keep talking about which album is best, because there is no "best" album.
YOU FOOL!!!!! |
SO do any of you have any recordings of yourselves playing Bodom songs?
|
Your all hot
|
i havent heard enough off of AYDY to say what i think, but my favorite is probably Follow the Reaper, or Hatebreeder. im leaning more towards follow the reaper because its the first album i bought from them when i got into them a couple of years ago... still has that ''epic'' feeling everytime i listen to it :p
hatebreeder is awsome cause its got Towards Dead End and Downfall, which are probably 2 of their best songs ever. Something Wild is good but not enough songs. The fact that Lake Bodom and Touch like Angel of Death are on it though make it really nice. Hatecrewdeathroll has its moments but is not as great as ftr and hatebreeder. songs like Triple Corpse Hammer Blow and Bodom Beach Terror are good |

My band is going to cover Bodom Beach Terror at an upcoming show. :thumb:
hatebreeder is awsome cause its got Towards Dead End and Downfall, which are probably 2 of their best songs ever.
Towards Dead End was an awesome track, but I thought that songs like Warheart and Black Widow were better than Downfall. |

Nope. I'm perfectly capable, but I lack the motivation to seriously learn one. That, and learning songs by bands I like isn't importent to me, unlike most musicians I know. |
Nice one man, let us know how it goes.
Nope. I'm perfectly capable, but I lack the motivation to seriously learn one.
Yeah I like learning songs cause it's fun to jam em out at college n stuff, that's if you can find a drummer good enough to play along, which in my case I can't. But I can respect when people don't cause it lessens the effect it has when you hear the song I guess. Off to bed for me I think. |

We have no drummers at all, one guitarist, and a few bassists who desperately hate metal. That leaves me and another guitarist to play, which doesn't work out too well. Playing a song isn't nearly as fun on my own either. |
I got lucky...I got 2 friends who have almost the exact same musical taste as me (we bounce stuff off one another, musicwise) who play bass/keyboard and drums. I play guitar, so we have enough people for a power trio.
Now, the full time band I have, 2 guitars, me and this one kid who's into more classic stuff, though he'll go along with anything, and another bassist, who's the same way, and the others on keys and drums. It works out. Pity none of us are good enough to learn anything remotely hard... :upset: |

That's weird because all the bassists in my area (including me) love metal. |

I have one who loves emo, one into punk, and one into modern rock/lighter metal. All of them hate any music remoately heavy and with any amount of screaming. It really blows. |

Give them some Nightwish. :p Do they call all of your music "satanic?" I know some people who do that... Come to think of it, my global teacher did that today. Me and my friend had to submit a topic for National History Day (we're forced to do it :upset: ), and the topic was Taking A Stand. Our topic was Black Metal: Taking A Stand Against Christianity. She accepted it, but proceeded to ask us if we partook in any of the events that we described to her. I would have loved to tell her, "Yes, as a matter of fact, we enjoy burning churches on a Sunday morning." |

They proceed to make a poor, mock death metal scream and sarcastcally speak of raping virgins and slaughtering Christians. I've been meaning to use a black metal song for my prayer in religion class. :) I'm coming up pretty soon, so I was going for some true black metal or Vital Remains - Dechristianize. Somehow I don't think it's going to go over too well in a Catholic school. |

I could use some more for my project...I got most of the basics already...Mayhem, some Darkthrone (although more would be awesome), others. |
Its good to live with a Catholic family

I do have some really anti-Christ black metal. Satanic Warmaster, Graveland, Xasthur, Leviathan, Black Funeral, Enthroned, etc. That's what I have in mp3 right now. |
Which reminds me...
Buy the CoF shirt that says "Jesus Is A Cunt" :thumb:
I always thought that shirt was too over the top to be cool. It just seems like CoF was trying to do that just to shock people. |

They were. They've said they don't really feel that way, they just like the shock value of it. |
2 people asked me to upload the new children of bodom cd for them and i did and so that means they'll be another 23 more dowloads for it, anyone want it, first 23 get it
|
Ben, when you get a chance, hit me up on AIM (if you use it)...I need some of that uber anti christian black metal.
I'll give you some stuff in return...i got a large list. AIM: ChildrenOfFilth6 |
I always thought that shirt was too over the top to be cool. It just seems like CoF was trying to do that just to shock people.
That's exactly what they were trying to do I think. The Abominations shirt though, is awesome. |
does alexi do ALL the lead parts?
or does Roope play some...if so, give me some examples :p |
As far as I know, Alexi does the majority of the lead bits live, so I'm guessing he does them in the studio.
yeah thought so and is it henkka doing the deeper voice vocals on hatebreeder (like black widow chorus)? |
It has to be, I don't think Alexi can go that deep.
 yeah its henkka i think i love black widow, playing it at a gig soon :D |
wow triple corpse hammerblow, 2:56 p.h and whammy bar??? thats one cool sound |
That's Alexi, not Henkka. You can clearly hear the low singing transition into high pitched again in the same breath, I don't think 2 people could do that.
