fortunate son here |
I can't choose. Maybe Have You Ever Seen The Rain. They have too many great songs. They are one of the bands that can't have a best of album unless it's like 5 disks.

*not a big CCR fan*
Buttt... having said that, Have you ever seen the rain, Green river and Susie Q are good. DVG. |

This is totally off-topic of what you're all talking about, but...
I want to clear the doubts about the Concert of Bangladesh that was talk about like in page 208 or something... here it goes. The Concert for Bangladesh is Harrison's doing. He was approach by his good friend, Ravi Shankar (like someone said) and he asked Harrison to help him ease the pain that East Pakistan, or as it's known, Bangladesh, was suffering, since Shankar's father was born there. Harrison knew the only way to get enough money to help was through a concert. But what concert would be good enough to raise so much money? Harrison knew of a band reunion concert that would make really good money, even if it meant going back and facing his demons. A Beatles reuunion. Harrison then called his former band members. McCartney delayed on committing himself and eventually refused. Lennon wanted Ono to perform with the band, but Harrison wouldn't have any of it. In the end, the only other Beatle who agreed was Starr. With the Madison Square Garden booked, he bagen to make phone calls to other musicians, among them Leon Russell, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan had only made 3 concert appearences since 1966, so Harrison knew it was going to be hard. Dylan was interested, but Harrison wanted him to sing his old materials like 'Blowin in the Wind' but Dylan was more inclined on doing recent work. He snapped back at Harrison by saying "Are you going to sing 'I Want to Hold Your Hand'?" Harrison only had 2 weeks to arranged the entire thing. He wasn't sure if Dylan was to appeared. And Eric Clapton was in the middle of his cocaine addiction, so he too might not show up at all. (Sidenote: Clapton sent his then current girlfriend all around New York to find him his drugs. And before the concert, Clapton took a hit, and collapsed and a doctor had to come and save his life and then he was able to perform). Up until Dylan's appearence on the side of the stage, Harrison wasn't sure he was going to appear. But he did, and surprisingly perform old material. In conclusion, the Concert for Bangladesh is George Harrison's baby, and the first rock charity concert, way before Live Aid. Dylan just wanted to help a friend out and showed up. By the way, the duelling solos between Clapton and Harrison at the end of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' (which is my favourite song) and in the solo of 'Something' (the song I dedicated and played in front of my current girlfriend) are the highlights of the concert, and of course, the rare appearence by Dylan. |
The CCR Chronicle set is a good greatest hits. Two CD's.
My dad had it so I thought I'd check it out, but when I opened the case the CD wasn't there... |
Can I find the Concert for Bangladesh on DVD anywhere?
