Surtr 02-24-2006 11:51 PM

Here..Someone read these lyrics and tell me what you think..k?

1337

Verse 1
The Bishop Of Lincoln,
At The City Gates,
With A Message In Hand,
And Innocent Men’s Fates,

And As He Stood,
Before The French King,
A Message He Told,
And War He Did Bring,

Edward Meant For Battle,
And Battle He Would Make,
Phillip Would Prepare For War,
French Lives Edward Would Take,

Chorus
On All Days But Today,
All Days None This Holy,
Men Will March To Battle,
Fight For Their Countries Glory,

And When The Grass Is Covered,
The Blades Have Become Red,
They Will Look Upon These Years,
And Know What To Dread,

Verse 2
Little Did They Know,
What The Had Done,
On That Single Day,
What They Had Begun,

For One Hundred Years,
They Would Come To Fight,
English And French,
Both Sides Equally Right,

And On The Battlefield,
Sword Would Fall,
As The Wounded Man,
Would Make His Call,

Chorus
On All Days But Today,
All Days None This Holy,
Men Will March To Battle,
Fight For Their Countries Glory,

And When The Grass Is Covered,
The Blades Have Become Red,
They Will Look Upon These Years,
And Know What To Dread,

Verse 3
The English Soldiers,
Burnt All They Found,
Until They Saw Nothing,
But Barren Ground,

And When Nothing Was Left,
So The French Came,
Prepared For Battle,
The English The Same..

So..Tell me what you think..?

And incase some of you are wondering I'm working on a concept album idea just for fun..about The Hundred Years War. This would be the first song about the day (All saints day I think..) when the war was declared (1337 was the year) and the way it ends is done on purpose..as it's meant to blend into the second song..

BridgeToSolace 02-25-2006 12:03 AM

It doesn't sound like it would work in a song.

Then again, you're probably more creative than me.

It would be sweet if you could pull it off, though.

(Call the song Leet, to give it an ironic title.)

Hahaha..I've got some of the guitar done in my head..It's not a pop-punk song though, it's power metal kinda' stuff. I just figured I'd give you guys a quick show of it.

It's not the guitar that wouldn't fit, it's finding a proper vocal melody.

Heh, power metal, good luck with that :p

You better be a hell of a singer.

Permanent Solution 02-25-2006 01:04 AM

Stew: Holy and Glory do not rhyme. The chorus should be the catchiest part, fix that.

:)

So I just finished reading the chronicles of narnia. The last book was uber preachy :-\

NP: Rage Against the Machine - Vietnow

Read the Ender's Game series, Vince. For serious.

And when you're done with that, read the Ender's Shadow series.

After that, kill yourself for reading in college.

But I didn't get those as a Christmas gift...and I'm poor. Send them to me and I'm down.

Psh, I don't do anything here, especially not reading. Any reading I do here is recreational, and I love reading as long as the topic appeals to me.

I just saw Final Destination 3......it was pretty ghey, but it was ok, and you get to see titties. I give it a B+ for the titties.

Me and Jared also met up with some girls. Jared knew one of them from myspace, and the other one was her friend. They were very ugly. I give the experience a C-, because they were kinda fun to hang out with, but they were ugly.

I also remembered a girl's phone number, and I havent talked to her in roughly 2 years, maybe longer. Does this make me creepy?

Lame.

Ugly chicks need love too :( You just weren't drunk enough, don't blame them, blame you.

Only if you called her expecting sexual favors.

Lame indeed. It was good for violence though, if you're into that sort of thing.

We were saving our beer for fishing tomorrow (later today). I don't think we could have been drunk enough to do them even after cleaning out my entire liquor cabinet anyway.

And yes, we were expecting sweaty love.

PDWAB 02-25-2006 04:08 AM

I just watched Saving Private Ryan. That movie is crazy.

Hep Kat 02-25-2006 07:37 AM

I haven't seen that in a long time.

It is a good movie, though.

Gnarmageddon 02-25-2006 08:04 AM

I kind of want to see The Hills Have Eyes.

Don't you just hate it when your downloading something off Soulseek, and the last 3 songs decide to get queued. forever.

AP album reviews are wayyyyy too short.
You have something negitive to say about almost anything. Your a negitive Nancy.
I was debating on whether or not to say "AP sucks".

And then I said to myself "No, people are just gunna think that's all I can say - 'this sucks'".

So gave a reason.

And you always seem to like things that aren't very good, but oh well.

http://www.purevolume.com/beforetoday

I really like those guys :)

http://purevolume.com/emery

And I really dig their style.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-25-2006 10:50 AM

Well that wasn't very nice. And AP reviews aren't that bad they are kinda short but they aren't that bad. Well at least we agree on those two bands!!!!!

BridgeToSolace 02-25-2006 10:56 AM
And AP reviews aren't that bad they are kinda short but they aren't that bad.
I haven't gotten one a while (I didn't renew my membership), but I just remembering them being something like "This album isn't very good.", extended into a paragraph telling something about how the genre has evolved, or the history of the band, or some other stuff that has nothing to do with the album.

A good review tells you exactly what to expect in an album. I don't mean track by track analyzis, though.

Most reviews where small and bad, but the big ones that had in the corner that had a picture of the band along with the review usually aren't bad.

Their band comparisons are silly as hell, too. Band comparisons usually are, though.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-25-2006 11:01 AM

Ya they try to cram like 15 reviews on one page by giving them a 1 to 5 rating and putting an album picture and like a 3 sentence paragraph and I hate those but their featured reviews are really good.

Untitled 02-25-2006 11:45 AM

Just been at my works induction, i got me a uniform an stuff, alls good.

I start at 8am tomorrow though

yeah i agree - hardly any of the little ones are really anything besides one or two witty remarks that make me giggle from time to time

You seem to forget them titties set on fire, the girls set on fire, and melt and burn, its all rather disterbing.
