anyway... i had fun torturing this guy last night who i used to go to school with. it was his second time drinking ever and he got completely trashed. he was at my one friend's house along with me and this other guy. so we all screwed with him. we made him do jumping jacks just to see if he could. he made it halfway through one, stopped, and fell to the ground. and you wouldn't believe how much fun it is to chuck empty 2-liter bottles at a drunk person's head :lol: i nailed him in the forehead with one that i'm sure the people across the hall heard the crack from. after which he went down. and my friend whose house we were at kept tying him to things with a shoelace because he was wearing bondage pants so he had to keep figuring out how to untie himself before he could go anywhere. it was hilarious.

the moral of this story: don't get drunk around me. i don't drink. i never will. but if you intentionally put yourself in a state of mind where you have no balance or coordination and will have no memory of half of what happens, i will take full advantage of it. and i will have fun doing it. :smash:

probably because i was playing such a cool drum beat right now, i set up some toms next to my computer chair, and a snare under my desk

i just ordered a lp mambo cow bell and bass drum cow bell mount.

also some rubber hi hat felt replacements

i have a bass drum cowbell mount that i put my jamblock on. except it doesn't go high enough. i need one that goes higher. why i can't tell you.

actually i will tell you. i put the jamblock on my cowbell mount. then instead of doing a rim-click on the rim, i put my hand on the snare and click the jamblock. it makes almost exactly the same sound, but much louder. so if you play in a band and you do rim clicks in any one of your songs, and are annoyed by the fact that nobody can hear them live, buy a jamblock and a bass mount. and click the block.

another thing. i was wondering... every china i see online, the description talks about it being fast and trashy and biting. anyone know of a china that's the exact opposite of that? like still trashy, but open, and not biting or incredibly loud, more like a trashy crash.

you could always look into wuhan crashes

to avoid being very loud, just don't hit so hard.

actually i have a 12" wuhan china that i use for accents and things like that when i want to have a biting, trashy sound. i'm just looking for something that doesn't cut through as much. like if you listen to "right here" by staind, at the end of tom roll in the chorus he hits a china, but it's not as biting. which i know they usually just use a normal china and make it blend in more in the editing stage. i want one that really does sound like that though. the crash idea i might have to look into. i thought about it. but i still want it to be a china more than a crash. i was thinking 16, 17, 18, inches, something like that.
