Quinto 03-01-2007 06:20 PM

im curious what is considered a thick shell, in mm, and what would be considered a thin shell, in mm.

Berk 03-01-2007 06:21 PM

Obviously like 6mm.

Jezen 03-01-2007 06:22 PM

Thin is like.. 3 ply.

Thick is like.. 40 ply?

SlincoJ 03-01-2007 06:22 PM

88 and 332.

Quinto 03-01-2007 06:23 PM

three extremely helpful answers, berk what you said means nothing, what bb said means nothing, and i think slinco is just saying random numbers.

stevensonmat2 03-01-2007 06:24 PM

unforgivable

Berk 03-01-2007 06:26 PM

Well, I just took a guess, Cuz like plys is like 6 mm, Or like 9mm?

SlincoJ 03-01-2007 06:26 PM
three extremely helpful answers, berk what you said means nothing, what bb said means nothing, and i think slinco is just saying random numbers.
And I'm proud of it.

Corkofski 03-01-2007 06:29 PM

hmm, so i agreed to get my nipple pierced....

left or right?

Charlie Daniels 03-01-2007 06:29 PM

Tbh, the number of plies is irelevent to the thickness of the shell. Keller plies are very thin, pearl plies are very thick.
im curious what is considered a thick shell, in mm, and what would be considered a thin shell, in mm.
6mm is about average shell thickness for toms and 9mm for snare drums.

oliv_da_skinmasher 03-01-2007 06:29 PM

Rite guys so I left this band, coz the guitar player was bein bitchy all the time, n it was no fun anymore etc various reasons wont go into it.

But anyway, I was bein nice and just said look i think it would be better if i just wasnt in the band anymore. She was cool with it and then now only a day after shes bein a total bitch to me just coz i left.

Little Android Man 03-01-2007 06:33 PM

o, so there was more than one chick in your band?

Berk 03-01-2007 06:33 PM

Im quiting the band I play alot in to go with the band that I dont play alot with.

The reason why is because of...The damned guitarist. He accidentally popped out one of the pick ups out on his only guitar, Started playing my other guitarists amp, It sounded like crap. He blamed it on the amp. He said the amp
was crap. Witch it wasnt. This was the same guitarist who said timing didn't matter.

Quinto 03-01-2007 06:34 PM

im going to make a thread, and hope to get at least one answer.

TimJim 03-01-2007 06:34 PM

i found a bagpiper for my band :)
o, so there was more than one chick in your band?
Yup

Berk 03-01-2007 06:35 PM

Ill Answer!

Little Android Man 03-01-2007 06:38 PM

well, thats not as bad as my story.

so my best friend, my ex guitarist, was in a band with me and my other best friend, bassist. so our band was so kick ***, and we had so much fun, but he all of a sudden left, because he wanted to go to another band.

now me and my bassist got a new guitarist. his amp sucks BAWLS and he sucks even worse. it is just so hard going from someone who really really knows how to play, to someone who has only been playing a year, self-taught.

oliv_da_skinmasher 03-01-2007 06:39 PM

lol yeah know how you feel. That lass guitarist from my ex band sucked majorly to be fair.

TimJim 03-01-2007 06:41 PM

my guitarist had to drop out for our HUGE show cause his dad was like" Basketball!!!" and he was like "Music!!!!"

oliv_da_skinmasher 03-01-2007 06:44 PM

That sucks man. damn crazy fools

Berk 03-01-2007 06:45 PM

I know how you feel.

I once had a kick *** guitarist I used to jam with like 2-3 times a week.
He'd just like solo out and I'd play along. Totally fun.

Then I went from that to one of my good friends who was just starting. We did a couple covers over the summer and stopped until he got better.

Then I started play with the guy who said timing sucked. He couldnt even
throwdown a good breakdown. Sad.
