You read my mind.

Jessizzle 04-29-2006 09:23 AM

Ska fests are so much fun. A whole weekend of the music i love. I might plan one sometime.

That's not true, Ska is music for anyone. If you have to be drunk to enjoy 2 days of the music that's not a good sign.

D & V 04-29-2006 10:15 AM

lolo

Brain Toad 04-29-2006 12:51 PM

Seriously, there is way too many ska fests. Too many people think they can start ska bands and they end up making really ****ty music.

And if you have to be drunk to enjoy yourself at one of those fest, then it must really suck.

faith and fiction 04-29-2006 01:00 PM

Ska is for gays.

Skippy Prat 04-29-2006 01:14 PM

a little bit of ska can be fun, but a whole weekend of it will probly make you wanna take a bullet to the head

Jessizzle 04-29-2006 01:55 PM

I go to shows more for the fun times with my friends then the music these days.

faith and fiction 04-29-2006 03:26 PM

Don't you live in a s'hit town where the music sucks at the shows to begin with?

D & V 04-29-2006 03:43 PM

That looks pretty damn sweet. The Tossers, Deals Gone Bad and Los Vicious De Papa are all from Chicago, although I don't know why The Tossers are on that because they're clearly not ska.

asdf 04-29-2006 03:51 PM

Ska can get pretty old. I still really like seeing it in concert, though.

Glitterati 04-29-2006 04:06 PM
I go to shows more for the fun times with my friends then the music these days.
Same here. Pretty much my weekends are me and my friends shooting pool at the community centre, making fun of the crappy local hXc bands, and passing around alcohol.

SantaDuJuan 04-29-2006 05:09 PM

I only like one band in my "scene" and there from a town 40 minuents away.
So far, they all love Against Me! yet they play this generic punk sound?

I really hate generic punks.
I'm a total fashion whore, so atleast I'm somewhat unique.

Brain Toad 04-29-2006 05:14 PM

MX is really fucking dead

SantaDuJuan 04-29-2006 05:20 PM

Oh it's dead all right.

Brain Toad 04-29-2006 05:23 PM

No one has posted in the top 100 list. Way to make it feel like it was pointless to do.

SantaDuJuan 04-29-2006 05:30 PM

I don't like top 100 stuff.
To me it's a popularity contest rather than actually being the top record.

Brain Toad 04-29-2006 05:33 PM

Everything is a populairty contest. Judging the merits of an album is always based off of popularity.

A lot of people liking something doesn't it make it bad.

Dismissing stuff as popularity contests is elitism at it's best.

Glitterati 04-29-2006 05:34 PM

I dedicate my 7,300th post to livening up this thread!
