yeah but unless you're dealing with idiots like elim you can't just goad the poor posters into doing stupid things that get them banned. so all you're doing is creting more trash and getting yourself banned while the other posters get off just fine because they don't actually do anything.

idk it just makes no sense to me. i'd love to see a clean up too but you can't ban people just because you dislike them.

This forum used to be (and can return to being) awesome but I always felt left out because you guys would post 92892734234 MPH in the community thread and you called each other on a first-name basis and stuff and it was impossible for me to keep up.

It sucks to see it de-evolve and Brian not getting any help whatsoever from the other mods.

Anyway what I felt at the time doesn't matter . . . can somebody explain to me why bans in Pop-Punk in 2007 have already eclipsed the mark for Pop-Punk user bans in 2006?

Because everyone's grown bitter over the state of things. And because we're all bitter, we're trying to make things better, but we're only actually making them worse.

It's a vicious spiral.

What we really need, in my honest opinion, is to let Gav mod his own area, and add another Mod for Pop-Punk. The problem is a user that's worth it. Vince is really the only one, but the problem there seems to be that I don't think Vince would really wanna' be a mod, and he's not on much more than Brian.

We could use another mod, since Gav and I are the only ones who mod here, and we seem to usually be on at the same time. I'd love to see Vince be modded, because he's on at different times, and he's really the only deserving poster in this forum.

As far as bans go, we have more idiots now than ever before. :p

He probably should, though, after someone gets added. My understanding from others (which shouldn't replace me seeing it from Gav himself) is that his involvement with H/E has crippled (no pun intended, I assure you) him from being one of the best moderators the forums had to someone who's become numb (again, no pun intended) to the job and is otherwise pretty ambivalent.

Why do we need more mods when we only ever get posts in the community thread anyway. What we need is more posters and actual discussion of bands other than Blink and Brand New.
