AA-12 10-11-2009 09:44 PM

the fountain is great

gangs of new york has daniel day lewis so its obviously great

im not single anymore :D

im pretty high

THIS IS A VERY POSITIVE POST

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:46 PM

did you watch the twins game? watching the twins attempt to baserun was the most satisfying part of the whole game.

they were completely out of their league

TimJim 10-11-2009 09:46 PM

yay josh!

Jaundice 10-11-2009 09:46 PM

whos the lucky trap

AA-12 10-11-2009 09:48 PM

Jaundice 10-11-2009 09:50 PM

im happy to hear this josh

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:50 PM

lol kage is a smart guy.

twins were just a joke, as they have been for the past three games.

Deth 10-11-2009 09:51 PM

kage is probably the most conceited egotistical person to wander through these forums

Carl Sagan 10-11-2009 09:51 PM
kage is probably the most conceited egotistical person to wander through these forums
that's a big call

Jaundice 10-11-2009 09:52 PM

i always remembered liking kage

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:52 PM

yeah he probably just deemed you a non-elite. he's a cool guy.

AA-12 10-11-2009 09:52 PM

kage had some great taste in movies though.
lol kage is a smart guy.

twins are a likable team though. mauer is the best catcher in history (okay not now, but he will be when he retires), but one guy cant carry a team forever.

Permanent Solution 10-11-2009 09:52 PM

fountain is really mediocre, like all the work by that director

it is very pretty in HD though, I have to admit.

Gangs of NY is a bit better.

Carl Sagan 10-11-2009 09:53 PM

he was probably completely gone on his 200th acid trip so he probably didnt mean it!

publicastration 10-11-2009 09:53 PM
yeah the fountain is really good

I couldn't stand anything about the fountain except the parts with him in the bubble

I can't decide if aronofsky is just horribly inconstistent or a hack that accidentally made a couple good movies. (the wrestler and requiem for a dream)

Nepenthe 10-11-2009 09:53 PM

dont get me wrong i like kage i think hes a cool dude but uhh wouldnt really say his opinion on movies is anything better than retarded

dont be too hard on the twins man they never really stood a chance in the first place. if they werent in the most inconsistent division in the league they wouldnt even be in postseason.

Txus 10-11-2009 09:53 PM

Kage was pretty cool, havent talked to him in like 1 year, last time we talked was about noise music, lawl

the only real filmmaker is kurosawa anyway, the rest can **** off

AA-12 10-11-2009 09:54 PM

i generally hate aronofsky but after seeing the wrestler i can't say anything bad about him.

requiem for a dream is awful too

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:55 PM

i dont remember him ever doing acid, he was strongly opposed to it for a while and then he started smoking weed and later moved on to psychedelics. he was still a very insightful guy, just was really smug.

requiem for a dream is awful too
its not that bad.

Deth 10-11-2009 09:55 PM

in flames and opeth are the only metal bands worth listening to

brb jacking off to david lynch

publicastration 10-11-2009 09:55 PM
requiem for a dream is awful too
naw

I mean it does get way too much praise but it's a really good film. I actually see it as more darkly humorous than dramatic though.

Carl Sagan 10-11-2009 09:55 PM

guys stop saying film it's movie

Nepenthe 10-11-2009 09:56 PM

i love aronofsky

fountain is pretty much my favorite. wrestler and requiem are excellent. pi and below were both great too, for what they were.

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:56 PM

film is more college

publicastration 10-11-2009 09:57 PM

never seen Below, Pi is trash honestly :\

Carl Sagan 10-11-2009 09:57 PM

silverfang probably watches films sitting in his surround sound chair

AA-12 10-11-2009 09:57 PM

lets talk about the best movie

watched it again yesterday

Permanent Solution 10-11-2009 09:57 PM

^^^well opeth is almost the only metal worth listening to so he was almost right there.
naw

I mean it does get way too much praise but it's a really good film.
it's really not though. unentertaining, not powerful or meaningful. just a trainwreck of ill-thought-out imagery.

if you want to see a good drug movie, i'll dig up the video i made for health class in high school. that **** was amazing.

AA-12 10-11-2009 09:58 PM

Spun is my favorite drug movie i think. it rules.

TimJim 10-11-2009 09:58 PM

i dont watch many films at all

i borrowed Pan's Labyrinth from a friend and i just bought Valkyrie and Gran Torino because they were $5 at Blockbuster

Jaundice 10-11-2009 09:58 PM

i like bunuel and scorsese movies tbh

Nostalgia 10-11-2009 09:58 PM

twbb ruled, i needa watch it again though to full understand it.
Spun
its aight

Nepenthe 10-11-2009 09:59 PM

TWBB is great

opeth is

i thought requiem was pretty powerful. idk ive just seen so many people go down that road, and been down parts of it myself though not to the same extent, so it just hits home a little harder.
