http://media.putfile.com/Harlequforest-or-sumshi
I think I have it fairly close =/
wheres BB and pure at??they always post here
I just got back from playin at the jazz club, Egypt Cottage. I was playing with the most amazing saxophonist, Claude Werner. He's bloody incredible. We had a good crowd tonight, and my girlfriend was there so I got lots of affection between sets.

Jezen 02-28-2007 07:03 PM

Is it just me or is Billy Drummond's floor tom smaller than his mounted tom in this pic?

fishbulb 02-28-2007 07:05 PM

It's smaller.

Any recommendations on some mallets? I want to get some to mess around with because i've been playing a lot of trippy space rock pink floyd-ish type music and think that it would add a lot to the whole feel of the music to get some mallets. Suggestions or are they all basically the same?

MatthewMeredith 02-28-2007 07:08 PM

I'm back!

Houdini 02-28-2007 07:58 PM

Hi there. I'll be your new friend. Any general new-user tips to give me?

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:03 PM

Could anyone tell me why I can't create a new thread?

Get a pair of Vic Firth American Custom timpani mallets, or Vic Firth SD12 Swizzle G's. It's a SD1 with a 1 inch felt ball. If you planned on getting some actual vibraphone mallets to do this, don't. SD12's are about 10 bucks.

Bonham#1! 02-28-2007 08:06 PM

Houdini you have to be around for a certain period of time before you can do that

LoneStarDrummer 02-28-2007 08:06 PM

houdini:

don't start any trouble. people are quick to jump on you if you're new start trouble. keep it clean, act mature, show some respect, and...

most importantly, google stuff before making a dumb thread asking a dumb question. Because, believe it or not, there are such things as dumb questions.

LoneStarDrummer 02-28-2007 08:07 PM
Could anyone tell me why I can't create a new thread?
i think there may be a rule about having at least 5 posts first, but i may be mistaken

you should just have to click on the button titled, "new thread".

Bonham#1! 02-28-2007 08:11 PM

I rept you [your name here] for coming from willis.

LoneStarDrummer 02-28-2007 08:13 PM

haha thanks man. it's not a bad place at all.

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:17 PM

Any users to watch out for? Every forum has them. I would assume by "stupid question" you mean something that is clearly on the front page, or asking a personal opinion question like "I need some sticks, I won't tell you anything else, but I want to know exactly what to buy anyway" or "What is the best drumset?

SlincoJ 02-28-2007 08:17 PM

Not in the stick car, anyway...^-^

SlincoJ 02-28-2007 08:22 PM

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:22 PM

perfect examples of what i meant by dumb questions.

as far as users to look out for, well...

there really aren't any that are terrible anymore. ever since cocaberry left things haven't been so bad. just look at join dates and post numbers. if they are both high, then just show a little respect.

that doesn't mean you can't state you opinion and that you shouldn't stand for what you believe, just don't resort to insults.

SlincoJ 02-28-2007 08:24 PM
Slinco, you give 14 positive rep points, but I can't give you any.
Awesome,14 is a pretty chill number.

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:24 PM

Sounds good. Did you name come from the Straylight Run song "Your Name Here"? That's a cool song. I listen to that type of music almost all day. It's not the most challenging type of music to play, but there is nothing else I would rather play.

SlincoJ 02-28-2007 08:27 PM
;14292739']just look at join dates and post numbers. if they are both high, then just show a little respect.
Naw post count and join date are no reason to respect somebody srs.Respect for everyone is way chiller.

LoneStarDrummer 02-28-2007 08:29 PM

naw. i actually don't like my user name, but i don't feel like changing it either.

i was late one school night when i finally decided to join here and everything i tried was taken, so it was a last resort. i tried about 10-12 names before this one wasn't taken and just decided to keep it

Bonham#1! 02-28-2007 08:29 PM

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:30 PM

Honestly, who actually says "chiller"? Definately not part of the normal conversation in Northern Ohio. But, The odds os you coing from Northern Ohio are like 1:1,000 at best. It should be pretty cool to talk to be people all voer the world who play drums, I just hope I can understand you.

The odds are definately low, especially when it says hes from kitchener.

Houdini 02-28-2007 08:32 PM

This thread is getting replied to faster than I can read the post and submit my own reply.

i agree, but try telling that to someone ripping a new guy. i've seen it several times where someone states, "i've been a member longer than you have noob, so stfu," as if it's justification for something.

a lot of old members act as if they're smarter and better than all the new guys and i'm just letting him know to be ware.

SlincoJ 02-28-2007 08:34 PM

Sunshine 02-28-2007 08:34 PM
