Ah, that is a good point. There is really nothing you can do about idiots like that, but there may be some people who were uneducated on the genre and may have thier minds changed from it. I used to think the same as people like that, but now, even though I dislike it, I've had my mind changed by people like you who know what they're talking about. One of the pluses is that Dargon isn't here anymore. I see your point for sure though.

But I know I am not the most knowledgeable on both genres, but I do like them alot. :\

People seem to stay out of them if they don't like the genre. There were a total of like 5 posts over 7 pages on the Tech Death one that were stupid bashers.

Yeah, that's what's holding me back from doing power metal. I think someone like Steerpike or Hitroshimite would be much better for the job. I don't know of anybody who I think could do a better job of viking/folk metal though though.

There is plenty of people more knowledgeable about black metal and such, but would they do it? No.

When I have the time, I plan on doing Avant-garde metal. Such a broad, rough genre that is basically a mishmash of everything. It will basically be a list of bands and rough descriptions of them. I think I am most qualified for that "genre".
