those are clean rips. most people who rip FLACs don't know what they are doing, and so they end up with high bitrates that needn't be as high. the reason for this is because they use the least hardware- and time-demanding method for ripping, thus resulting in a meaninglessly high bitrate. it's like if you rip 192kbps Vorbis and then convert them to 320kbps. they are 320kbps, but it's absolutely pointless. I use the most efficient encoding possible. with that said - I do actually have songs that are >1800kbps, which is extraordinary high for regular 16-bit audio tracks.

I have every file tagged with genres, but I have a lot of stuff (especially the lossy tracks) that are not ripped by myself. these usually have the genre tags the rippers have put there. most of which are highly unintelligent and nonsensical. e.g. "emo" for Saves the Day, or "post-rock" for Slint...

as for the 'year' field, I always fill it in when I know the release year. often I do not though, consequently leaving it blank.

people put the stupidest genres like "REAL punk" etc

Someone posted a video of FSU's feature on Gangland. That shit is ridiculous. I heard they fucked up Dangers' vocalist and got a show canceled a while back.

He was jumped 6 on 1 and sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

IDK about him getting "fucked up". Dude's who attacked him sound like bitches in all honesty.

whats ridiculous is that the songs lyrics include, "Stop fucking shit up, were gonna get beat up (and itll only prove our point), stop fucking shit up"

as if none of those FSU assholes even bothered to learn about the song, only "this band talked shit about us urgh i mad"
