I want an acoustic band. Any recommendations, Jon?

PDWAB 11-21-2005 08:01 PM

Ok, you people's cool sensors suck so I'll post this again.

Some guy took a bunch of songs and mashed them up with "American Idiot" and it's totally awesome.

Hah, looks pretty cool, but unfortunately due to the crappyness of my computer, it would take a year to download all of that.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-21-2005 08:05 PM

Ya that was pretty cool.

Even though I'm not Jon:
Bright Eyes if you like very truthful lyrics...
I hear Thursday's acoustic stuff is simply amazing, and I wish I could find it.:upset:

This man clearly has no life.

But I salute him for it.

St. Jimmy mixed with Original Prankster sounds really wierd.

HomeCatMickey8 11-21-2005 08:14 PM

Bright Eyes is simply amazing!

But I'm also a sucker for quite stuff with heavy lyrics. Even if he does sing a little off key and goes out of his range very often.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-21-2005 08:15 PM

I have never listened to them.

Gotta love these holidays.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-21-2005 08:17 PM

Greenday Massacre and Novocaine Rhapsody are my favorite I think.
.

billiejoe84 11-21-2005 08:18 PM

Bloody Thanksgiving. I want something that'll get me time off work.

Although, the British equivalent is Bank holidays, which I always get roped into working anyway, often for an hour extra, because we get an hour's extension to our license.

Work sucks.

cbmartinez 11-21-2005 08:18 PM

Bright Eyes are horrendous.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-21-2005 08:19 PM

Can someone find the right myspace link for Bright Eyes and send it to me.

I think I'm gonna check them all out - it's pretty cool. Just playing American Jesus now, which is pretty fun. I love how it's American Idiot all messed up, and then it kicks into the real intro, and then goes all staccatto. And mixing City Of The Damned with Summer Of 69 is bizarre, if quality...

Fish 11-21-2005 08:20 PM

american thanksgiving?!? what!? i want american thanksgiving too!!!

You can't have both!

HomeCatMickey8 11-21-2005 08:21 PM
Bright Eyes are horrendous.
I can see why you would say that... but hey, we all look through differnt windows.

Depths: My computer is too slow to send songs via AIM (ask Spence)... I wish I could help you out with it though.

BridgeToSolace 11-21-2005 08:22 PM
I love the Time And Distance song. Quality stuff. Jon, is all their music like that?
Everything on Bloodloss For An Excuse is similar to that song. Their newer stuff is full band, with precussion (ewww) and all that. Their purevolume has like ten songs on it. www.purevolume.com/timeanddistance

DepthsOfDreams555 11-21-2005 08:22 PM

No I just need like the myspace link. I dunno which one it is there are like 5.

Fish 11-21-2005 08:23 PM
You can't have both!
hmm...maybe i'll move to the states for a short period of time, then move back after thanksgiving. I'll be at your house at 5 tomorrow, I'll just use that map thing in that other thread to find where you live :thumb:

Pazz 11-21-2005 08:23 PM

I like Canadian Thanksgiving. If I had the American one, it would be to close to Christmas.
