Royal Mail is unreliable at best, plus Unis are terrible at administration, they really are.
That and the strike on Friday cant have done their outgoing schedule too much good. Ring them. |
^ That
I went to pick up a parcel that wasn't delivered, and the excess post office had just changed its open hours to 7-12:30. I arrived at 12:45 >=[ |
they took my credit card as a form of ID in there :-/
|
Yeah, on the form it says 'e.g. passport or bank card'

:( OH NO it'll be all mouldy. MOULDY! Was working 8-12 today. It was a really good shift mainly because we stood about chatting for the first hour :p then we were mucking about with the raidios and distracting each other. fun funf unf came home, watched a bit of Requiem For A Dream then fell asleep ^_^ 'sup? |
so on Friday i drove round someones house after work to see a load of friends that i havent seen for about a year.
Great stuff, none of them have changed  Because of my drivingness i wasn't drinking though :( and i ended up being taxi for the night, which i should have guessed was gonna happen when you arrive at a party with a car. made several trips during that night, including a visit to the only known food selling place (a kebab van a few miles away) at about 1:30. No-one threw-up in my (mum's) car though, so its all good. Got completely wankered on Saturday though to make up for it. Now im addicted to that Bloons game Zo posted a few pags ago, stuck on level 32 :( |
I am a dying man.
I've been working soooo much these past few days it's not even normal. Mad good money coming in though. This routine gets to continue until the end of this month. |
I should start on the overtime, but the fact i hate my job sevirely puts me off doing it though.
One of the guys is going on holiday then he says hes been offered a new job and hes leaving, if its true, im going to pick up 9hours a week of his, so itll be an extra £160 or so, minus tax, probably about 120 extra for the couple of months i think. |
tax is ****ing gay :(
I wish HMV had extra hours going :upset: I'd have some money then :( And an evening shift might be worth going in for... 3 hours ffs, what's the point |

Its like, £15 or so you make, probably don't get a break, 4 hours + to get a break at our place, and also, i find even with evening shifts you have to work your day round them and often you cant actually do much. Also, if you wake up at 9am like i do pretty much everyday, then your shift is at 5/6, you have all day thinking "gotta go work soon" |
yupyupyup
At HMV apparently (and either not true or illegal, I'm sure), you have to work more than 5 hours to get a break. Great. Except when it takes 2 hours getting there and again getting back, and it's the middle of a saturday. So all of a 5 hour shift, almost same again travelling, about an hours wages if I'm coming from huddersfield (if it's leeds then it's less, but only because I walk half an hour through the city), and it's 9 hours after breakfast when I eat again, 5 hours of which is on my feet chasing round after customers and generally being 'energetic and enthusiastic and passionate about our product' |
Whats it like in HMV?
I can imagine it being alright to work in really, its a place ive always wanted too. Might apply for seasonal work around christmas at one i think. |
I bet you get a lot of:
"Can you tell me where this CD is? I don't know the name of it, but it's got a sheep on the cover." |
I bet you get a lot of:
"Can you tell me where this CD is? I don't know the name of it, but it's got a sheep on the cover."
And I'd give alot of: "Not really..If you can find the name or even the artist or possibly a genre, I can find you the CD." |
WAHEY.
Got myself an electric Toothbrush today, its cool, i like it, as much as i brush my teeth often, i can now do it even more often and better as it wont take that much effort really. Going to the gym in a short while, i got a little regime thing on Thursday to do, i did it Thursday, Friday, then i had work Saturday and Sunday, so yestoday i had a day off, today im going to do back down. And this little regime thats been made for me has a fair bit of weight training involved in it, and cardio, yet my moneys worth :D |
I played Golf yesterday, am aching from it today though gah.
You shouldnt brush your teeth more than twice a day. |
I never do, main factor being that i always did it before eating my breakfast, which made that taste awfull, so i stoped doing it.
|
Why would you brush your teeth before breakfast .. ?
I brush mine after breakfast and before bed. |
Because, i wake up, go down use the toilet, wash, do my hair, then carry on going down eat my breakfast and leave.
Im just in the routine of that now. |
But your teeth should be clean from your sleep cause you should brush them before bed.
Not only that but then you eat, covering them in food, then leave them ALL DAY until your brush them again. |
Well yeah.
And also, Gum, its wonderful, i find it gets rid of that icky feeling on your teeth and makes your breath smell fresh. Obviously suger free gum, other wise there would be no point in chewing it. |

It's fun working there, but that's because everyone that works there is a pisshead or a stoner. Money's good too, for what you're doing. Problem is, for part-time, all you do every shift is either stock out or tills, gets really boring, and it drags like hell after you hit the 4 hour mark And you get soooooo much of that. There's been a couple of real imbeciles this week. One said: "Excuse me, where do I find Snow Patrol?" then, to save face, they added "I know it's under S, but..." Well then why the fuck do you need me, I ask you? Another customer approached me with two dvds and said "Excuse me, why is this different?" Nuff said really. And btw, temps get recruited october time at the latest, later only if they're still short staffed or one of the temps gives up. They need a certain amount of experience before the christmas rush |
