Hello Drum Stronghold!
Hi Alf ^-^ |
Hey Sunshine
arun gilespe iz s0 f4st becuz dere iz 2 uv h1m.
The really lame part about that picture is. The guy isn't even moving fast to create that effect. That's a double exposure, notice the double cymbals and drums. Makes for a truly retarded picture. Haha kinda funny considering getting a blurred motion shot of a drummer with his kit in focus is not exactly a difficult thing to do. I'm listening to sublime, setting a kit up in here and particpating in aroma therapy. |
Hi Josiah ^-^
Ugh, I really don't want to do my college work. But of course I'm going to. Raaah. |
sup doods

Man, why did no one tell me Will Kennedy existed before...
The guy is a crazy player. http://www.drummerworld.com/drummers/William_Kennedy.html For those of you too lazy to look him up.
Specs on how. I've been trying to take blurd'ish pics of my guitarist. I cant.
Long exposure + tripod = result. |
Long exposure + tripod = result.
Yup, to both! That's what I would recommend! Wills great, check out his playing with the Yellow Jackets |
Holy jesus of the mother of christ of nasarath!
He a ****ing stonging player. God hes good! I love him! Why is it all so angled though? |
drumframe.
|
But why is it angled?
Whats the benifit? |
cuz thats how the drumframe is...you can sit back in a more resting position while still being able to hit the drums properly...look at all of matters kit pics...he has one.
|
He has a drum frame?
|
what's up drumzorz
|
He has a drum frame?

josiah why do dic-cast hoops on toms sucks?

I haven't been on MXDP since last October (the shame...)
Then a certain "Mr Pink" was creating some hoo-haa. What's happened to him? |

|
Has he mellowed?
|
josiah why do dic-cast hoops on toms sucks?

Nice Josiah very very nice!
|
Is that an 18" tom?? Looks huge! Big love for the Yammies.
|
but die-casts make tuning easier, dont they?
|
but die-casts make tuning easier, dont they?
If you like bad tones its easier to get them from diecast. so yes they are easier =/ lol Reminds me of poppinfresh "I use hydros on top and bottom with diecast on top and bottom." I actually do like the sound of a diecast on the batter side of my copper snare. It lets alot of the bite die. |
I miss poppinfresh :( he was funnay
|
16" tom, camera perspective.. I love the Yamaha's!
I would say tuning would be slightly easier with die-cast due to the rigidty, however that doesnt' negate the deadening effect for me. besides tuning should be 2nd nature to you anyway. It's your instrument, tuning comes before playing. Like futuro, I use diecast on snares for the same reason, some on top, bottom, etc |

And yes, the die cast do remove alot of the resonance from the drum. Its kinda good for an experiment as I can change the hoop without changing the drum tuning at all, plus you can hear both rims on the drum withing seconds of each other. I could do some audio of each possibly to clear this up? |
Specs on those pedals.

Quiting MX to practice more, bye. Atlanta Insitute of Music is very near(less than a year) and I want to pratice more hours to try to get my playing into a new level. peace nukkas:thumb:

Damn Jos. That is hot man. I really like that finish. Do you still have that older model DW5000?
|
Haha, I showed my hi-hats to my mate working behind a pub bar, and he and the other bar maid (fine AS) just stood there for ages tilting them into the light and watching the colours :p
