studying for differential calculus

god damn there is so much to learn :(

the exam is also bullshit, 20 multiple choice questions and the exam is worth 60%

3% per mark uhguhgughuhg

sweet, thats awesome. architecture can be pretty rigorous, it took my cousin a while to get thru her program.

i bought that book you posted about, personal space, for my gf cause she's in interior design and is really interested in behavioral design, wants to design schools and class rooms and there was a whole chapter on that.

NEEDTOPOST 04-15-2011 11:54 AM

yeah, it's amazing how well that book has aged and also sort of frightening. none of the issues it raises have been solved or even really approached. tell her to solve them

yeah, the only version i could find was an updated version where he has added an addendum to each chapter, stating what has changed in the intervening years. he comes off as an apologist, bcus all of the changes have been superficial at best and dont really get to the crux of the issues raised. the original chapters themselves are intact, so at least he kept his criticisms. i def think the book is better at asking questions than answering them.

NEEDTOPOST 04-15-2011 12:23 PM

yeah and i think his main message aimed at architects/designers is for us to know how to ask the right questions in the first place, which most dont
what do you mean 'again'?
last semester my calculus class had the same type of exam (20q, 60%) and I got like a C- and it brought my mark down a lot

NEEDTOPOST 04-15-2011 12:38 PM

that sucks, whats the reasoning? im so glad to be finishe w math

P13 04-15-2011 01:02 PM

I think the profs are just lazy

they're also stupid as fuck, they forgot to put 3 questions on the exam so it was actually 17q and 60%

but if you do better on the exam than your current course mark they will just make it a 100% exam for you and yo'ull get the better mark, which is great. I hope I can get a 90 on this exam so I can get an A+ but I don't know if I'll blank

blockhead 04-15-2011 01:06 PM

stoned. eating bananas. been trying to eat better lately
