Warning is for fags who have love problems clearly.

And Lowe kicks *** in the new Candlemass tbqh, but still, he is great with Solitude.

Dargon 03-10-2008 04:52 PM

Lowe gets so tiring on the Solitude debut. That same shrieky tone throughout the entire album really gets on my nerves. Listening to isolated songs is great but I can hardly last through the whole thing.

Tyler 03-10-2008 04:55 PM

I preferred Lowe with Candlemass but I still don't particularly like his vocals. The only song I've really enjoyed them on was Solitude's cover of Heaven & Hell.

Idk if you have heard Through The Darkest Hour, that's my favorite Lowe's vox display. Pretty ****ing awesome.

pate 03-10-2008 05:47 PM

He's ace on everything he's ever done. Best singer ever.

I like him more with SA than on the new Candlemass though.

ATM 03-10-2008 05:59 PM

Ooh Revelation are going to be playing as well on Friday :D

pate 03-10-2008 06:19 PM

Hell yes

ATM 03-10-2008 06:43 PM

How are Pale Divine? They are playing here soon as well.

pate 03-10-2008 06:44 PM

AMAZING

I recommend Cemetery Earth.

Txus 03-10-2008 06:48 PM

Yeah, they are a very very good band.

C.O.A. 03-10-2008 06:55 PM

The songs on their myspace sound pretty dope.

gmoneyguy 03-10-2008 07:22 PM
I like him more with SA than on the new Candlemass though.
This, although I prefer is early SA vocals to his later.

pate 03-10-2008 07:22 PM

I like him on Through the Darkest Hour the most. It's a mix of the two eras.

gmoneyguy 03-10-2008 07:25 PM

Did Messiah move onto a new band, or is he just floating around somewhere in Sweden?

pate 03-10-2008 07:29 PM

He did some live dates with Therion in France and maybe some other countries.

gmoneyguy 03-10-2008 07:30 PM

He should start a new band called Messiah and the Saviors.

pate 03-10-2008 07:36 PM

Or he should join Wrath of Ragnarok OSHI

gmoneyguy 03-10-2008 07:39 PM

 Now thats an idea!

NemesisDivina 03-10-2008 07:41 PM

Messiah & the 12 Disciples

gmoneyguy 03-10-2008 07:44 PM

Messiah and the Soul Touchers.

pate 03-10-2008 07:45 PM

Messiah the Fat Black Hole

Tyler 03-10-2008 11:04 PM

**** I forgot how awesome Goat Horn was.

Awesome Canadian Traditional Heavy/Doom stuff. If you like Witchfinder General you will like this, I reckon.

Nostalgia 03-11-2008 12:19 AM
Why does Lowe sound so much better on the new Candlemass than on Solitude albums?

Also, what's with this Warning band. Austin is clearly an emokike mallfoggot for whoring them so much.
Warning is excellent, although I've been cutting my plays down for them. Been more interested in While Heaven Wept, rediscovering my love for Candlemass, and a few other epic doom bands. Glad you liked the Doomshine, too, by the way.

Anyone read the lyrics to "Where Nothing Hurts but Solitude?" I did the other day and the song is totally about flying. Like actual bird flight. Judging by the song title at first, I thought it was just about depression amongst other things.

Can't wait until Friday :D :D
Haha. Nah dude, it was pretty good. Great vocals.
I prefer A Walk Through Oceans. Have you heard that one? Having said that "The Gallery" was probably the best song we did together. Can't believe we recorded it nine years ago. It was also the last song I played with them (it was always the set closer) in Bradford 23rd March 2003 - I was so gutted to leave the band (they'd been a major part of my life for 8 years) that I was fighting back the tears by the end of it.

Sorry about that - bit of nostalgia for you nostalgia.

Nostalgia 03-11-2008 11:40 AM

I actually haven’t heard it, but I’ll get it now. I do really like Transfiguartion, even though it’s only three songs, hehe.

Dargon 03-11-2008 03:58 PM

At work today I was questing for crushing & epic doom instead of working (as per usual) and I came across this:

lol

LOL

Eliminator 03-11-2008 04:15 PM

hahahaha

RetiredAt21 03-11-2008 04:15 PM

They look like major fags.

Eliminator 03-11-2008 04:16 PM

Darkness again, darkness forever, my heart is gone, gone forever!!

RetiredAt21 03-11-2008 04:17 PM

LOL, great lyrics.

Nostalgia 03-11-2008 04:42 PM

They look like actors in a soap opera.

I'm beginning to enjoy While Heaven Wept's version of Epistle No. 1 over Candlemass'. Both are epic and amazing though.

I'm willing to bet substantial amounts of money that a band member wrote the review!

Imdrunksowhat 03-11-2008 10:36 PM

repcak 03-12-2008 04:48 AM

the one guy on the right side, looks like if he is going to kill himself... he looks so depressive

rattlehead42147 03-12-2008 04:55 AM

I finally listened to Watching from a Distance yesterday so I now understand all the hype behind it. Great vocals.

Jondur 03-12-2008 05:32 AM

I'm glad. No doubt they're due the traditional MX backlash by now but f*** it they're a great band and have been for 10 odd years. I guess it's good that so many people are getting into the band, it's just a shame that very few of you are buying it. After all if you bought it then you'd get records from bands like Argus, The River, The Lamp of Thoth a lot quicker because the label would have more money to cover studio fees etc.

Yeah I know it's the typical Jondur rant about downloading, but the band and the label boss are friends of mine. And also I think that record is an all time classic and I don't understand why you wouldn't want to own it.

Iron Bars 03-12-2008 06:12 AM

I own Watching from a Distance, but your absolutly right that I download more than I buy. The problem with the more underground bands is that it's harder to get the albums than with more known bands like Candlemass (even those I have to order though) and if I haven't heard it before it's a bigger risk of spending money on an album I'll never listen to.
