Wah wah, I wake up at 5:50 everyday to be to work at 7:15 (45 minute drive) to Des Moines everyday... :(

gaslight 09-15-2004 07:19 AM

Ouch.

How old are you Mox? I've never known any details about you.

I win this page.

/Kills self for being proud of this.

e p 09-15-2004 07:20 AM

What do you do in Iowa?

Well I wake up at 6 everyday so we aren't that far apart.

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 07:27 AM

Umm, I'm 22, just graduated from Iowa State (ISU) with a degree in Technical Communication (a branch of English for business writing). I work at Allied Insurance in Des Moines full time as a Technical Writer, and I live in Ames (where ISU is). So, I have to drive a good 40-45 minutes to get to work everyday.

So, I work, post here, and play Diablo 2 - this of course when I'm not with my girlfriend in the evenings. Not much all that special 'bout me!

Congrats on 10k posts by the way Gaslight! :applause:

Left Shoe 09-15-2004 07:37 AM

lol diablo 2 was only good for hackingzorz!

gaslight 09-15-2004 07:40 AM

Hehe thanks :D.

Ooh the X-Files is on.

That Scully can abduct me anyday, :naughty:.
lol diablo 2 was only good for hackingzorz!
pfft yea only in open bnet

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 07:40 AM

Well, I play it now for the PvP (dueling) aspect. Its fun to make builds and then duel other people with them. Unfortunately, I'm getting kind of sick of it. I think I'm going to make a Defensive Aura paladin, just because he is utterly worthless without a big party! But hey, no one will die!

bassist-bmxer 09-15-2004 07:41 AM

yeah i think scully is quite attractive

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 07:41 AM
Hehe thanks :D.

/Disappointed.

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 07:47 AM

And that's unusual?

bassist-bmxer 09-15-2004 07:48 AM

orange_destroyer 09-15-2004 10:45 AM

Family guy was banned. Too many racist comments apparently.......cant see where they got that from..............:p

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 11:06 AM

"Well, what's your name?"

"Dick Army."

"PHHHH! AA-HAHAHAHAHAHA! No, seriously, what's your name?"

"Dick Army!"

"PHHHHHHHHHHHH AA-HAHHAHHAHHAH! What's your wife's name, Vagina Coast-Guard?"

Jim Hull 09-15-2004 11:34 AM

I never really got into family guy. Some parts were good, but then sometimes I thought it wasn't all that.

JoeDaddio 09-15-2004 11:54 AM

Peter: Lois, I'm gonna grow a beard.

Lois: Peter, you know I hate beards ...

Peter: No no Lois, it's time I joined the ranks of great men with beards. Why do you think Jesus Christ was so popular? Cause ... cause of all the magic tricks?

Left Shoe 09-15-2004 12:08 PM

i agree with hull on this one

ShelBel 09-15-2004 12:11 PM

I've never seen Family Guy. Heard of it, know what it is, but never seen it.

I've never seen an episode of Survivor either. Or any of the now-popular reality shows. But that's me.

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 12:26 PM

Oh Shel, you owe it to yourself. I have a theory (and no offense to Hull or Left Shoe) that people who don't appreciate the show either
1. Haven't seen enough episodes
2. Are too serious (and therefore offended by parts of the show), or
3. Have no sense of humor and need to lighten up

It is without a doubt one of the funniest shows I have ever seen - right up there with South Park in the areas of comedy and just plain offensiveness!

*Takes communion*

"Whoa, is that really the blood of Christ?"

"Yes, it is."

"Whoa, that guy musta been wasted 24 hours a day!"

ShelBel 09-15-2004 12:31 PM

Okay, now, South Park I like. There's just something about irreverent humor that's very refreshing. Monty Python, as well.

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 12:32 PM

Well, then Family Guy should be right up your alley, if you have an alley, that is.

Imagine a baby boy, who is actually smarter than 90% of the population, that invents a weather control device out of a see-and-say, simply to exterminate the world's population of broccoli. Does that sound irrelevant enough to you?

Left Shoe 09-15-2004 12:34 PM

yeah i have seen enouh of the episodes , my firned made me sit through the dvds , i enjoy south park and monty python as well , hey i even psoted the muffin films on here a few pages back

moxshyfter 09-15-2004 12:35 PM

Ok, now Monty Python, I can't stand. British humor is an oxymoron in my book.

JoeDaddio 09-15-2004 12:35 PM
