Great album. I think Edguy are in the group of power metal bands who shouldn't be allowed to write ballads, along with Rhapsody and Helloween though.

Edguy ballads aren't that good, yeah. But generally, a lot of PM ballads annoy me. Especially Dragonforce :-/

So, Mystic Prophecy was named the co-headliner of one of the days of the Chicago Powerfest that I'm going to.

I'm revisiting them now, and I really like Regressus and Savage Souls, but don't like the other two. Discuss.

Have ticket prices come out for that yet? In my eyes, Novembers Doom and Martyr are enough reason to go. But a few other bands sound really good just from my brief listens, so I think its gonna be awesome.

No, it'll be announced in a week or two.

I'm going for Solitude Aeturnus, but all of the bands so far are good also.

Yeah, that's true. I went for almost a year of listening to stricly Iced Earth most of the time, and some other stuff at other times. Then Blind Guardian came into the mix. Yeah, for a few months now, I've been listening to those 2 less then before, (except for binges) and yeah. It is better.
