Mmmmmm, I don't know. I mean I am fine with poor production but this sounds just bad. Its not like 80s Sunlight studio's crunchy chainsaw sound, its just muddy and the riffs sound paper thin because of it.

As far as Morbid Angel goes. The best album still is Covenant, second is probably blessed are the sick, then domination and thats it. But the only truly worthwhile album is covenant.

meh, morbid angel is okay, but theyre damn boring. id hate to hear a "mediocre" album by their standards.

That's kind of what I mean. I see them differently then some of the other over-ambitious bands though. So I'd say that them being "boring" comes from the fact that they are pioneering deathmetal and not much more. In that context though they managed to create very fresh yet standard death metal, in their prime.

The only Morbid Angel I've ever liked was Altars. BlessedATS was alright, Formulas and Gateways bored me, and Heretic was downright s[size=2]h[/size]itty.

I only like Domination, as I recently discovered.
