Let's see...

Don't go chasin' waterfalls
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you used to
I know if I something something something or nothin' at all
something...

Little Man being Erased 06-26-2005 04:21 PM

My weekend shopping went fairly well...

Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow
Roots Manuva - Awfully Deep
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

Awesome.

The NPC 06-26-2005 04:52 PM

Embrace.

Where did you go?

Little Man being Erased 06-26-2005 05:38 PM

Just the good ol' JB. And a quick stop at Rockinghorse too.

I still can't find Deltron 3030 anywhere though...

br3ad_man 06-26-2005 05:42 PM

Yeah I can't find that anywhere either.

Anxious 06-26-2005 05:49 PM

Just got Washing Machine by Sonic youth, love it.

Bartender 06-26-2005 05:53 PM

Stevie Wonder.

Just put Songs in the Key of Life on for the first time in a while.

Little Man being Erased 06-26-2005 06:04 PM

Also dug the new Bruce Springsteen album and the second disc of Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk on Saturday night while drinking at my bro's house.

Zappa 06-26-2005 07:54 PM

I am currently (finally) listening to Richard Hell and the Voidoids' Blank Generation. It rules incredibly very much.

Med uploaded it today, if you are into the whole downloading album thing.

Little Man being Erased 06-26-2005 08:03 PM

I'd rather just keep looking for it until I find it. I prefer buying albums.

ATM 06-26-2005 08:04 PM

I found it in a small record shop in Sweden

Doctor D. 06-26-2005 09:28 PM

Trans Am
Brainiac
cLOUDDEAD
Archers of Loaf
The Stooges
Geggy Tah

That sums up my weekend.

Tomahawk 06-26-2005 11:43 PM

I've been digging The Shaming of the True by Kevin Gilbert. It's a concept album/rock opera type thing, about the music industry and how fucked it is. It's pretty cool.

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:06 AM

Derek wins this page... fuck it, he wins the thread.

br3ad_man 06-27-2005 12:08 AM

Really digging Emperor and Stars today.

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:09 AM

Oh yeah, um.

Modern Lovers (this dude is overrated, but the debut is still ****)
The Hold Steady (Seperatation Sunday is getting better with each listen. It's like modern Springsteen... almost)
Om - Variations on a theme (it's good, but not Oneida good)

And, Black Flag. Try and find me a better punk band.

Negative Approach

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:21 AM

Yeah, nah.

br3ad_man 06-27-2005 12:23 AM

Are you off uni at the moment Matty?

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:25 AM

Indeed.

Working with the old man. Back up there in 3 weeks or so.

br3ad_man 06-27-2005 12:26 AM

Nice. Good to see you around more. How're the folks?

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:30 AM

They're fine 'n dandy. They purchased matching lazy-boy's, so they're pretty happy at the moment.

br3ad_man 06-27-2005 12:32 AM

haha. Those things rule, you can sleep on them! Well, I'ma go now, I'll no doubt see you around.

The NPC 06-27-2005 12:33 AM
Yeah, nah.
That was the name of the band.

The Binary System is currently in the ol' CD player, good times.

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 12:52 AM

Yes I know.

They're not better. Hence my statement of "Yeah, nah".

The NPC 06-27-2005 01:00 AM
Yes I know.

Hah, good. But in no way are they better. NA was under rated, Black Flag is over rated. Ginn himself never liked Rollins. Besides Rollins taunted and was an asshole to Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening, possibly the coolest guy ever because he wasn't macho enough.

Ginn is cool, but as a whole, Black Flag's music I don't think was ever that great.

Tangy zizzle 06-27-2005 01:02 AM

Rollins is a a big fat steroid, but Black Flag were still orsum.

Hehe, Calvin Johnson was a weenie, but he made bitchin' tunes.
