hey, any of you have the new against me! album?
Yes.

Speaking of Red Cross and the hurricane...guess who's volunteering for early October?

CombatRock 09-08-2005 04:52 PM

Me and a friend are making a rap cd hahah. Im playing bass and hes singing, its so funny (we are only do it to make some money) We already have around 20 people who are going to buy these cds. They are going $2 a cd. We will be rolling in cash. I love going to a ghetto school with 2000 kids.

I was in a hip-hop group a few years back, we recorded an EP, it was awesome. I was MC Fibre, and we were called 3 Fresh 2 Live.

Two thumbs up. It took a few listens, because it's pretty different, but it's good. It's not Axl Rose good, but it's better than Eternal Cowboy. There are a few moments where it's like, "What?", some of the lyrics are kind of weak, and one song sounds like "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand. But I like it [the album] a lot, it's been getting heavy rotation.

The use a lot more guitar solos and a lot more vocal stuff, as in two or three people singing besides Tom, but I think it would've been a lot better if there was actual harmonization, instead of just trade-offs. You'll know what I mean when you hear "Miami" and the female vocals on "How Low".

SantaDuJuan 09-08-2005 05:44 PM

Would it be cool to name my band after Ganesh?

Shtein 09-08-2005 06:04 PM

You could call it "The Godly Ganesh Experience"?
Good on you! I've seen way too much news coverage on big companies losing money on oil yet literally nothing on the effect of the hurricane on wildlife. It's sickening.
It took me quite a few listens to warm up to it. It's not my favourite Against Me!, and will probably never be, but it's still a good album. The lyrics are weak in some parts, but the music is really solid.

albert_bass 09-08-2005 06:18 PM

Yeah. But not oil.

Anxious 09-08-2005 06:20 PM

Oh I thought it said humans. **** I cant read today. I think i should just leave for a while

AIRIC 09-08-2005 06:45 PM

Against Me! is good, but RAR and Eternal Cowboy both blow it out of the water.

DaveToopes 09-08-2005 06:52 PM

Yeah, Crime is amazing too.

No, there will be way more, we havent even wrote one song yet. Those are the people who we have told so far. Once word gets out about White Choclate (the rapper) we will make loads.
