I do :)

Surtr 06-20-2007 01:07 PM

And not counting my food..That's just toooo much effort.

ChodaBoy 06-20-2007 01:13 PM

Life is too short to look at the numbers on a box every meal

Squirrel 06-20-2007 01:18 PM

Lame.

kurrpt 06-20-2007 01:18 PM

what does that have to do with buying a protein supplement? You basically just throw a scoop or two into a blender and voila

Squirrel 06-20-2007 01:21 PM

Exactly.

Dissolves in milk or water readily :)

kurrpt 06-20-2007 01:22 PM

as far as counting calories or something, it's rare anyone actually does that with any sort of conviction

then again, they say we spend more time reading that crap in our lives than anything else

Squirrel 06-20-2007 01:23 PM

Really?

They must be pretty slow readers, hah.

kurrpt 06-20-2007 01:24 PM

yea

but i guess they take into account how much people don't actually read on a regular basis

kurrpt 06-20-2007 01:31 PM

umm, actually, nothing like Nesquik

much, much worse

It definitely gives a synthetic taste, but I'm not sure what to compare it to

if you've ever eaten a protein bar (yuck), that nasty after taste may seem all too familiar

now, take into consideration that I've gone to juice bars, or whatever the British equivalent is, and have gotten a chocolate, protein shake that tasted lovely.

It all depends what you choose to dissolve it in

Squirrel 06-20-2007 01:46 PM

If you get unflavoured whey protein and add it to milk it just tastes like a plain milkshake, add it to water and its quite rank, add it to juice it tastes like thick juice with a headcold [quite bland and saturating].

kurrpt 06-20-2007 01:48 PM

I think everyone finds it gross at first

then the more your drink it, work out, and start to reap the benefits, most people grow accustomed to the flavor. People that eat it habitually develope a taste for it.

My old roommate at uni used to eat/drink them 3-4 times a day and used to actually like them

Squirrel 06-21-2007 05:23 AM

The 1st few mouthfuls are rank, the rest of your first glass is ok.

Second drink is tolerable, then from then on they seem to taste fine, sometimes im quite in the mood for wanting one.
