McGill offers specialization in cultural studies in their grad program, which is good, because that's one of the avenues I want to pursue (potentially): technology and culture in contemporary speculative fiction.

Honestly, their undergrad program sucks. I looked at all of my course choices, and basically it looked like there were 2-4 courses I was actually interested in. They make you spread yourself as thin as possible, so the whole thing looks like one protracted survey course.

All of the graduate and doctorate students seem to really like it though. My poetics instructor just became a doctor, and she seems pretty happy with the whole deal.

Yeah, a lot of honours courses are all about covering a little bit of every last facet of the discipline instead of allowing for focus in preparation for grad school.

Realistically most girls wouldn't know the difference between Squier and Trace Elliot, or what a "rig" was, or that it's "bass" not "base".

But that's fine 'cause they don't really need to know anything about bass, I'll take care of that half of a relationship.

My big problem with American Standard Teles is the thick neck. I picked up this one today and the thin neck pretty much sold me on it. I loved it as soon as I started playing. And it's the color I wanted. The only thing I didn't get was a maple fretboard, but I'll live.
