nevertoolate 07-08-2009 11:14 PM

21+ to buy beer sounds horrible but 16 + to drive by yourself sounds mad
21+ to buy beer sounds horrible but 16 + to drive by yourself sounds mad
Nah it doesn't. If anything it's best to teach kids to drive around the age of like 12 when they want to obey the rules. Like in farm situations at least, I've witnessed 14 year olds drive safer than most ****ing adults.

nevertoolate 07-09-2009 12:23 AM

it aint true here mappy, our legal buying and driving age is 18, and that **** is a bad mix. Our tolls are stupidly high for late teens. I'd rather adopt the US system for sure.

True I learned to drive when I was 12, at that age I was so nearvous I drove like a pro

It should be driving at 15 and drinking at 18 IMO.

But you should be able to get your permit at like 12 so you can learn to drive for a while before actually doing it. It makes so much more sense that way.

nevertoolate 07-09-2009 12:31 AM

yeah agreed 100% on that, but keep it at sixteen (driving).

Jaundice 07-09-2009 12:32 AM

I've never driven a car before, it looks hard

combustion07 07-09-2009 12:33 AM

Seriously?

Jaundice 07-09-2009 12:44 AM

I drove in an empty parking lot once with my parents

Ulthwe 07-09-2009 01:42 AM

Driving an automatic is seriously easy for the most part.

Moon Flavor 07-09-2009 09:25 AM

I prefer shifting, but I like going excessively fast and if you can shift right you seem to pack more power that way.

Angmar 07-09-2009 11:10 AM

Manuals are more fun to drive ya but they're not as easy when you're first starting.

Txus 07-09-2009 12:17 PM

Sounds good, man. The show is like 7 blocks from my apartment :D

My friend was complaining today that the show is going to cost 25 bucks, wtf, it's actually a good price to see those three bands.

iamtherobots 07-09-2009 12:25 PM

Damn dude, I hope I can afford this.

No job = meh.

Txus 07-09-2009 12:32 PM

I didn't know you didnt have a job anymore man!

it's quite expensive but like i said, repulsion alone is worth 25 bucks.

hope you can make it, mappy

Magicaltroll 07-09-2009 04:46 PM

My one man band, instrumental for now, album.
I need feedback. I would appreciate it a ton.
1 is an intro, ha, 2-13 are more progressive sorta, the rest is grind-ish.

Will add vocals and bass and more noise eventually. Trying to show it to a label guy I'm talking to, and if I have a chance to get it out, I'll finish it and make it lot better. It's a weird bunch of songs.

i think everyone should learn to drive on a manual. It makes you pay more attention to the car and what's going on, it might be a little more difficult but you become comfortable quicker IMO

Yeah, Animal Cruelty.

Carlos, my recording partner in that band, went on to make a suicidal black metal one man band, and I made this, haha. He got signed and has a new cd that came out this month. check it out also if you're into that, really melodic.

I need opinions on my stuff though <3
I'm worried it sucks and I just don't know it, ha.
And yeah, been through a ****ing lot these past few years.
Stopped posting here, I miss it.

Txus 07-09-2009 05:20 PM

wow, your friend carlos has a shitload of albums, haha.

gonna get some of that stuff, sounds pretty good :D

you're not going to believe me but i still listen to that animal cruelty album from time to time, it was pretty good stuff.

i'm going to listen to your project and give some feedback, good to have you back man :)

RetiredAt21 07-09-2009 05:22 PM

Animal Cruelty was brutal as ****, for real.

Magicaltroll 07-09-2009 05:23 PM

Haha, that's so cool, man.

NO ONE out here even kinda digs my stuff.
I think they can't get past the not so great quality.
But I really kinda tried on this one.

Magicaltroll 07-10-2009 07:21 PM

Eh, the label guy didn't like it. Just found out.
This is basically Animal Cruelty b-sides. Name change is basically all that changed with this. It's either someone really likes it and gets what I'm going for, or it's like "eh...".

Kinda bummed to be honest the guy didn't like it. It's not like it matters too much, but you know. The album was actually done august 2007 - Febuary 2008.
So it's old, but I thought "hey I can add vocals over this still".

But I think I'll just get started on my new stuff.
Like I mentioned in another post here, I've been through some **** over the past few years, and I think when I can finally record again, it will be alot more focused and not somewhat a hobby.

It's confusing to me, because this guy puts out some shi' black metal. I mean, just horrible stuff, he does have a few good bands, but when I hear the other bullpoop on his label, and know that mine wasn't as good is pretty discouraging.
