I thaught that, but i was always amused by the thaught of it falling from the air, realy quick, in one piece and hitting someone. Obviously not killing them, as i dont condone death by shooting, but it'd be a wierd way to go.

Assuming the bullet was entirely intact, and at approximately the same altitude on impact, it would strike with as much force as it had when it left the barrell bar a little bit of air friction. There's no way it remains entirely intact.

Well, I don't think it's music in the traditional sense but it's still music. It's all about the ambience and atmosphere. I mean, admittedly there's never realyl a type where I go, "Man, I really wanna hear Sunn o))) right now." They're more of background music type band. Or something to just listen to and chill out.

I appreciate Sigur Ros for being that kind of music, and even Pelican and Isis though they can be non-background too I suppose. But Sunn doesn't even go anywhere. I mean it's literally just as boring as listening to the sounds in your room, the hum of electronics, the water in the pipes... Nature is more exciting.

I mean unless I'm listening in isolation headphones, the chances are good there's more going on around me than there is in their "music"

Like I said, it's an acquired taste. It all depends on what you can listen to without getting bored. Chances are if your listening to it and saying "this is boring" your not listening to them for the right reasons But too each his own I suppose. :smoke:

Like I mentioned, just to relax you. To create atmospheres, you know? Not to analyze instrumental skill, variation, etc.

Thursday's Full Collapse can be played as many times as possible and I never get bored of it.

Yeah, this is true. They make me freak out though.

As much as I despise the genre, Indie is actually real good high, particulary Modest Mouse.

Yeah, I've never thought of it as a gimmick either. There's tons on bands that have the same attitude and lyrics, they just flaunt it more than others.

Hahaha, well put. There are a couple interesting bands but a lot of it is people writing really unappealing music for the sake of being indie. And I hate when people only listen to indie and act like their so superior because indie is seen as like this mature genre.

I used to hate Thursday, but now I think they aren't so bad.
