Wewt. We own.

magicbus 09-25-2004 10:51 AM

Mines probably What Is and What Should Never Be, Battle of Evermore, Bron-Yr-Aur, or Dazed and Confused. Now that I think about it, I can't really pick a favorite. But I like all of those.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 10:52 AM

Over the Hills and far away is very good as well.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-25-2004 10:52 AM

I'm starting to like What Is and What Should Never Be and Since I've Been Loving You. I'm growing new respect for those songs.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 10:53 AM

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You never gets old to me.

lunch998 09-25-2004 10:54 AM

The end of What Is and Should Never Be is cool, I listened to it earlier for the first time in awhile.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 10:54 AM

What favorite Beatles' songs, mine are A Day in the Life, Happiness is a warm gun, and Two of us

MalcolmYoungRock 09-25-2004 10:55 AM

Happiness is a warm* gun.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 10:58 AM

Across the Universe, A Day In the Life, Glass Onion, I Want You, The Word.

I could name a million others++

Tongue 09-25-2004 11:00 AM

Yeah, I've noticed it too, lots of people are starting to get into classic rock.. It's not bad, just strange..

LocoDiablo 09-25-2004 11:02 AM

classic is the best .....cant live with it and cant live with out it.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:02 AM

Cant live without it, cant live without it.

lunch998 09-25-2004 11:03 AM
classic is the best .....cant live with it and cant live with out it.
I can live with it fine. Without it is the problem.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:03 AM

True true

MalcolmYoungRock 09-25-2004 11:06 AM
classic is the best .....cant live with it and cant live with out it.
What? You can't live with classic rock? You sir, should be shot.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:09 AM

*Glove Slap*

Favorite Beatles album, give reason.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:10 AM

Sgt. Peppers and White Album, I love their psychedelic stuff.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:13 AM

Mine is either Abbey Road or White Album(first disc is gold)

RockAndRoll 09-25-2004 11:14 AM
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You never gets old to me.
off that album that is one of my least liked songs.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:16 AM
off that album that is one of my least liked songs.
Really? Ok...

Black Mountain Side is my favorite of the album.

lunch998 09-25-2004 11:17 AM

How Many More Times is probably my favorite of that album.

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:17 AM

Gotta go mow the lawn. See ya.

RockAndRoll 09-25-2004 11:19 AM
Really? Ok...

Ya I like the whole album sooo much but I find that (babe i'm gonna leave you) to be one of the two least interesting tracks, even thoguh they're still good.

RockAndRoll 09-25-2004 11:19 AM

How many more times is awesome.

Paranoidd 09-25-2004 11:23 AM

Favorite Zeppelin song...probably no Quarter, Dazed & Confused, In My Time of Dying, or Battle of Evermore. Show me anyone other than Lou Reed or Robert Plant who can sing out of key and still sound good.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:26 AM

I love No Quarter. Its sounds so dark.

lunch998 09-25-2004 11:28 AM
Favorite Zeppelin song...probably no Quarter, Dazed & Confused, In My Time of Dying, or Battle of Evermore. Show me anyone other than Lou Reed or Robert Plant who can sing out of key and still sound good.
Robert Plant is great at that.

Paranoidd 09-25-2004 11:28 AM

Tool did a cover of it (no quarter) that is really, really, really good. One of my favorite covers of all time. It's worth checking out even if you don't like Tool.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:29 AM

Do you know what album it is on?

Woodstock 09-25-2004 12:00 PM

I heard of that cover but I've never heard it.

Paranoidd 09-25-2004 12:38 PM

It's on the Salival album.

It was a limited edition CD/DVD album.

Mars Volta 09-25-2004 12:50 PM

Ive just downloaded 2 tool songs: stink fist and eulogy. I like them, I have lateralus.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-25-2004 01:17 PM

How is it that the Official Metallica thread has more pages than us? Possibly more regulars?

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 01:17 PM

It's been around longer.

Paranoidd 09-25-2004 01:43 PM

And at least 50% of the posts are just people naming off songs.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-25-2004 01:44 PM

So, it's like a spam thread that makes sense? Wait, thats like an oxymoron.

Badmoon 09-25-2004 02:00 PM

I just bought a Garcia picture book at my library for 2 dollars. :D

slowhand 09-25-2004 02:14 PM

Little late, so again, I'll try to answer some of the questions.

-Favourite Led Zeppeling song: I really dig Immigrant Song, Dazed and Confuse and Stairway to Heaven (Yes, I like Stairway, so what?!)

-Favourtie Beatles song: While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Just the thought of a guitar crying because of mankind's ignorance it's just overwhelming to me as a guitarist. Also, this song has one of the best Clapton solo out there, in my opinion, and Harrison never sounded better singing a song (well, maybe in Something, but that's a whole 'nother point)

-Favourtie Beatles album and why: the Beatles (better known as the White Album). How many other groups can pull out something like the White Album and still sound like geniuses? From a Beach Boy spoof (Back in the USSR), to a children sing-along (the Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill), to a political satire with a clasical influence (Piggies) to even mocking the press because they think every song and lyric they wrote has some subliminal image (Glass Onion) and not to mention, my favourite song is in this album (While My Guitar Gently Weeps)... and that's just the first album! In the second you get the loudest the Beatles ever got (Helter Skelter), what George Harrison would do in his solo career (Long, long, long), a new birthday song (Birthday) to just plain blues, with some of the most obscure lyrics of the late 60's (Yer Blues). The White Album rocks. Period.

And... Cream RULES!

Oh, and badmoon, I think you might like this.

Badmoon 09-25-2004 02:26 PM

 Shows you why Garcia should always have a beird. Not the most beautiful guy.

slowhand 09-25-2004 02:27 PM

I have to agree on you on that one.
