... What? Him and I were talking about it and I just decided to post that. How's that getting someone to do my "dirty jobs."? He said the joke and I posted it so everyone could read it.
|
Let me add to the 'noobs' that most of you don't have any idea what this is all about and just run about, buy every 'cool' album, wear the 'cool' clothers, tell everyone about the 'cool' bands only you know ,etc.
Seriously, **** that mindset. Hardcore is made by us, for us and I think we need to do everything we can to keep it a counter-culture and not make it into a subculture. |
What the hell are you talking about? This place isn't like that at all.
If we did it to be cool, we wouldn't be listening to this kind of music. |
What the hell are you talking about? This place isn't like that at all.
If we did it to be cool, we wouldn't be listening to this kind of music.
Get more into the scene and you'll realise what torn's talking about. This forum is retarded. I only post here 'cause it has Neeshee and Ben. and torn of course<333 |
I still don't believe you know what you're talking abuot. So explain.
If you guys think we are such noobs, then why aren't you trying to help that instead of acting like you're some sort of emo elitists. Nobody here listens to certain music just to suck up to you guys, so I don't even know where that idea came from. |
I'm not some kind of 'emo eilitist' and I got into the music by myself so maybe you could just make an effort and check out as many bands as you can brohammed
|
I do . I've checked out nearly every band I've sen mentioned from here and all the other sites I've read, if I could find stuff by them online. I got into emo by myself, and most others here did as well.
You guys are acting like elitists, when you aren't any better than we are. I'm not trying to start **** in here or anything, but I don't see how you got the idea that anyone here just listens to music to seem cool. |
I can't remember ever acting elitist. I guess it's a sort of catch-all phrase nowadays.
Look dude, it seems like most kids just live to consume here, as if they have no idea what's behind it all. Seriously dude, that really ****ing sucks. It's not acting elitist, it's having love for the game I guess. |
Get more into the scene and you'll realise what torn's talking about.
That does sound sort of obnoxious though |
That does sound sort of obnoxious though
Yes it does, but I was just putting it blatantly. As soon as I started getting more and more into hardcore I understood what you meant when you were ranting on Soulseek. |
Dope!
|
a lot of you guys think you're f'ucking 'hot', but you are forgetting what hardcore is about. Thats what Torn meant I suppose.
|
I don't think of myself as one of the people they are referring to then. I've never imagined anyone on these boards like that, but I do know the type of people they're talking about. My area is full of them.
|

Completely right |
You're playing too many notes. The clean part is a lot less cluttered.
Nope, it's right.
Get more into the scene and you'll realise what torn's talking about. This forum is retarded. I only post here 'cause it has Neeshee and Ben. and torn of course<333
:upset: |
Nah dude. The notes are right, you're just playing too many of them. I was up all night learning that song for Neeshee.
And my love for you and Jon does not even need to be mentioned. You know it's there in abundance. |
:upset:
Who would've thought that you'd be in the noob club with the like sof me? hah |

The only part that's weird is the last part before you switch from the 13 to the 12 on the A string but if you single out just the notes on the A string you can hear him play three. A|-13----------13----------13-----------13--13--13---| |
Get on AIM and I'll show you what I'm talking about.
|

exactly. |
i just enjoy the music. simple as that
|
Oh okay, I can understand what he means then. I didn't know what emo was until you and torn directed me in the right way. My first post here was something gay like "Funeral for a Friend is emo and if you don't think so you suck lolol".
I'm ashamed. :-( Anyways, what are the five essential "emocore" bands? I mean the more hardcore rlated stuff from emo's earlier days. I'm not sure on band lifespans, but I was thinking something like Heroin, Rites of Spring, Moss Icon, Embrace, Dag Nasty. I'm sure there will be some disagreements with those bands, because I'm not very educated on the evolution of the genre and stuff. basically, give me five emocore bands that would best represent everything that the genre is about. I'm trying to stay away from any of the chaotic or really screamy stuff. |
Dag Nasty are a hardcore band.

Yeah, everyone knows hardcore is about faking being in a band too gain some cool points on a music message board amirite?
|
dont say emocore. and that is impossible to do.
I'm just using th term to describe what sound I'm asking for, I'm not going to use it when I suggest the bands to anyone.
Dag Nasty are a hardcore band.
I've seen them classified as early emo many times. |
