Amazon only has the import version of Primo Victoria on the US site, and it's really expensive :(.

Shattered_Future 05-31-2006 01:16 PM

I never got into Sabaton, really...

Riva 05-31-2006 05:52 PM

Try Amazon.co.uk then, and just pay for a bit of shipping?

Here you go.

Lord Abortion 06-01-2006 07:45 AM

Yeah, I'm going to put that order in today.

Arsis 06-01-2006 08:17 AM

Non-cheesy power metal:

All I have to say: Kamelot - the black Halo

Riva 06-01-2006 06:31 PM

Hehe, yeah, Kamelot are a bit dirtier than other bands, but I think they have a different flavour of cheese, just like Jag Panzer and Savatage.

Nepenthe 06-01-2006 06:32 PM

I don't know, one could easily argue that Roy's voice is pretty cheesy at times.

Shattered_Future 06-01-2006 06:41 PM

They are cheesy musicwise sometimes, but lyrically I hardly think they are cheesy.

I still want to find a way to go see them...

Stormrider 06-01-2006 06:43 PM

Kamelot are coming here I don't remember when...I can't say I like them enough to go and see them, really. They're good though...

Nepenthe 06-01-2006 06:45 PM

Yeah that's about how I am with them. Take them or leave them. I much prefer cheesy power metal though. Roy does have one of the best voices in music I have to say.

Riva 06-01-2006 06:48 PM

Have you ever heard Galloglass or Lost Horizon, Anthony?

Tyler 06-01-2006 06:48 PM

I love Galloglass and Lost Horizon. I know you didn't ask me, but whatever.

Nepenthe 06-01-2006 06:51 PM

I love Lost Horizon, Highlander is one of my favorite songs ever. Galloglass I'm not too familiar with, but I've listened through Legends From Now And Nevermore once or twice.

Riva 06-01-2006 06:52 PM

Oh good. You two are now my best friends. :)

Shattered_Future 06-01-2006 07:14 PM

Awakening The World is one of the coolest albums ever, I must say. And you already know my position on Galloglass.

Nepenthe 06-01-2006 07:16 PM

I prefer Flame To The Ground Beneath. It's just overall more polished imo.

Tyler 06-01-2006 07:19 PM

Same. Plus it has a sillier album cover.
Same. Plus it has a sillier album cover.
Truth.

Tyler 06-01-2006 07:26 PM

The main riff in "Think Not Forever" is also in a CoB song, not sure which. Who stole it from who?

Steerpike 06-01-2006 11:05 PM

Well, if someone could find the song, that would be great because I know the riffs to Think Not Forever and we can see for certain.

Tyler 06-01-2006 11:12 PM

Let me listen to whatever CoB I have on here, I know I've heard it in one of their songs.

This is pissing me off, I can't find it, but I know I've heard it somewhere else because when I first got that album (Lost Horizon) was like "I know this riff".

Riva 06-02-2006 12:25 AM

I believe that six men in a vortex is not sillier than four men marching in the sky about zombies.

You'll also find that Lost Horizon aren't the likely thieves of the riff.

Nepenthe 06-02-2006 12:28 AM

Lost Horizon are too pure to steal.

ACircuitShock 06-02-2006 12:42 AM

Kamelot is coming here in October with Epica. I'm pretty stoked.Though what happens in November beats them... BLIND GUARDIAN!! Man I am so stoked for that. BG in Seattle, whoda thunk.

Josh 06-02-2006 03:12 AM

my favourite Lost Horizon song has to be Think Not Forever, i just love it so much. but A Flame To The Ground Beneath and Awakening The World are awesome albums. i should probably buy them, so i have real copies :p

Galloglass's Legends From Now And Nevermore is also great, i love the fiddle parts :)

and i'm about to try and get Kamelot - The Fourth Legacy from the Daily Upload, except megaupload is being gay and not working, so i may have to get it later.

shadow_stalker 06-02-2006 10:37 AM
Galloglass's Legends From Now And Nevermore is also great, i love to fiddle with Ollie's parts :)
fixed

anyhow Galloglass are one of my favourite bands ever (as are lost horizon), i keep meaning to get another kamelot album as i only have the balck halo, but have never got round it it

shadow_stalker 06-04-2006 07:34 AM

soooooo thread is dying abit.

someone suggest some obscure power metal bands for me to listen to

MetalOz 06-04-2006 07:39 AM

Ok, have you heard of Avian?
Guitarist Yan Leviathan has assembled quite a slew of musicians for this new power metal force known as Avian. Bassist Dave Ellefson lends a production hand and his decades of playing to the cause, also corralling his F5 drummer David Small. The vocalist would be former Balance Of Power/current Pyramaze talent Lance King, with supplemental keyboard wizardry from his band mate Jonah Weingarten.

shadow_stalker 06-04-2006 08:02 AM

havnt heard them but i will check them out now.

also thinking of ordering Agra's rebirth album
