whoops posted it twice
**** computer browser |
i think the reason blackend is such a good song is b/c of the solo, the bass drum, and the "see your mother put to death, see your mother die!" part
|
that makes the ultimate (IMO) concert

yo tim u gave me the power chords i put up, with an extension on E.
holy sh*t, this thread grew by 2 pages in one day. |

whats that metallica song that.. uh .. in the music video, theyr playing in like this warehouse and they all got like really long hair... ? :thumb: Im guessing its kinda old cus of the hair..
lars's hair is awesome in that video. i think they looked a lot cooler with long hair, they should grow it out again. it could save them from the nu-metal pandemic. |
I downloaded a few live clips of 'tallica playin in their AJFA tour and it's great. Do they sell DVD's of old tours or something.
|
yeah i had the clip of ...and justice for all and the clip of blackened, kicks ***.

Live Shit Binge and Purge |
i think 'master of puppets' and 'creeping death' are the best songs they do live. BUT, if they were to play 'dyers eve' on this tour, it would blow em all outta the water. i can probably imagine that 'fight fire with fire' is the gnarliest song to open with. PURE F*CKIN THRASH!!!

Load Era
As I was studying for finals, I decided to pop Metallica's Load and Reload albums in.
I've always liked the 2 cds, load way more than Reload, but GOD **** IT, BOTH CD's rock! I really think that people should take em for the musical quality, and forget that even though they arent pure metal, they still rock and rock HARD. My favs from Load: King Nothing (LOVE THE GUITAR INTRO! HEAVY **** AND FUN AS HELL TO PLAY) Hero Of The Day Mama Said (beautiful song) Bleeding Me - (Amazing song, Fun to play, LEARN IT) The Outlaw Torn (what an amazing song) From Reload: Devil's Dance The Unforgiven II (i used to not like this song, but sheez, after listening to it...i realized its **** beautiful) Low Mans Lyric ( I cant help but sing along with the song) The Memory Remains (I love the song, but i dunno about the Maryanne Faithful na na na part) Fixxer - (amazing song, has one of the coolest intro riffs I have heard, VERY Powerful song) ------------- Please before I get flamed for this, WHICH I SHOULDNT GET, because there are good *** CD's, give some of the songs a listen will ya. ------------- ps - Metallica is God. |
i always, and always will, LOVED load and re-load. Groovy riffs, slow heavy deep drumming, and some of james' best vocal harmonies and lyrics.
If any other band had writen those albums you would have heard a whole different story. |

Dyers Eve is a awsome song to sing and play i reckon

*bump*

Does anyone else here really like Nothing Else Matters?
|
Yes I do

THE ORDER OF YOUR FAVORITE METALLICA ALBUMS, DO IT!
1. Black Album 2. Master of Puppets 3. Kill 'Em All 4. Ride the Lightning 5. Load 6. St. Anger 7. Garage Inc. 8. ReLoad 9. S&M Yea, that's it, i don't remember all the albums at the current moment sadly, school makes me kinda brain dead, um....edit it if you want, stat you're opinions, all that stuff. I'm gonna push ...And Justice for all in at number 2 because i forgot it like a dumbass. |
THE ORDER OF MY FAVORITE METALLICA ALBUMS
1. Ride the lightning 2. Master of puppets 3. Kill 'em all 4. ...And justice for all 5. S&M 6. Metallica (black album) 7. Garage inc. 8. Re-Load 9. Load 10. St. Anger (although I do like St. anger) I think all of the albums are really good So should all really be tied |
Everyone hates St. Anger but if you think about it is pretty good compared to the rest of the stuff they have now
true its not better then the rest of the 80's rock but its pretty good compared to the songs they have now |
Are they worth the money?
IMO, yeah they are. I like Kirks experimental side. Its really cool. They are good quality cds. But if your expecting thrash or metal, then don't bother. |

A lot of their lyrics dig really deep and I think that that's good, it can bring the fans closer to them and them closer to the fans if you catch my drift. St. Anger wasn't all bad, it was just not what people had expected. So yea. |
Just wondering, why don't Metallica usually play Leper Messiah live?
|

Well said |
Just wondering, why don't Metallica usually play Leper Messiah live?
They played Leper Messiah at the fillmore show, but I don't know why they don't add it to their regular set list. I think it's a great song. |
Everyone hates St. Anger but if you think about it is pretty good compared to the rest of the stuff they have now
true its not better then the rest of the 80's rock but its pretty good compared to the songs they have now
Compared to a lot of mainstream stuff, its ok, good. Compared to a lot of underground bands, it isn't so good. |
Yeah It's pretty good but I think they should play the Whole of seek and destroy more often, not just in the medely
Ahh two more to go and this thread will be the grand old age of 40 pages |
*bump*
IMO, yeah they are.

By the way, everyone feel very sorry for me
because Metallica is finally coming to Belgium and -_____- I don't have tickets and two of my friends are going TOMORROW. And i'll be at home, being sad, because i'm missing one of my favourite bands playing live. Woe is me. :( |
OK, I'll feel sorry for you on Saturday when I'm at Earls Court headbanging to the greatest Thrash band in existance :P
Sorry about that... |
Compared to a lot of mainstream stuff, its ok, good. Compared to a lot of underground bands, it isn't so good.
