Apparently more medical students commit suicide than engineers, in England at least. I live with both a med student and an engineer at Uni.

And I kinda meant, why have you suddenly got all this work now?
The labs are getting longer, the homework load is getting heavier as the tests are coming up, I'm less loaded this week because I just passed the spurt of tests and only have one this week. But mainly it's the labs and daily homework, I don't have much time to study for tests even if I wanted to.

Dried Muffin Remnants 04-11-2005 01:57 PM

Does anyone else think that Porcupine Tree is kind of ...cheesy?

I mean they have a good sound and everything, but the more I listen to them, I just get this cheesy vibe.

Yeah, weird.

\m/Pete\m/ 04-11-2005 01:58 PM
You record on your own..soundclick and purevolume and places like that are just free (I think) webspace providers for you to host your music so people can have a place to listen.
Thanx...so do I need to get a program to transfer what i play? Because right now its coming out my speakers.

please dont tell me i need to go back and get a microphone
Hey Madey.

What's wrong, ICB?
A n00bie has totally surpassed my postcount. But that doesn't matter. I don't consider you a n00b anyway.

Illmatic 04-11-2005 01:59 PM

I don't like Porcupine Tree all that much either. They're like a prog Radiohead. Bleh.

Gah, I've been meaning to check them out for so long!

I'm just a n00b with a lot to say. I am going to make an effort to stop posting so much, since my PPD is getting out of control.

Dried Muffin Remnants 04-11-2005 02:00 PM
OMG WHAT?! I love them. What do you think is cheesy about them?
I got Stupid Dream a while back... It's a plethora of things, really: trying to imitate piano lessons, the lyrics, and the songtitles. Just sounds a bit cheesy to me.

Yes, actually. I like them, but there's definitely an air of tongue-in-cheek, a slightly cheesy-and-they-know-it feeling to them.

I also don't really understand why people call them progressive. A lot of their music is basically pop in structure.

Fair enough. How long's it likely to last?

I dig them, but I will admit there are moments when they do sound cheesy.

So, who here has had to deal with a crying woman?

:-\

Except Radiohead is A LOT BETTER IMO.

Just run your guitar into the Line In on your computer, and then get some hold of some recording software.

Yeah, that's a big number  the average post per day count is way off, anyway. I'd say I post about 30-80 times a day.

Till finals :(

It'll probably get worse.

ATM: You passed my ppd, sad day.

Illmatic 04-11-2005 02:15 PM
Ouch, is she upset at the "joke" she made?
Yeah, she felt really bad about it, and then when she was apologizing, she started breaking down and crying halfway through.

I had to forgive her...I just can't stand to see a woman cry.

RiceMonster 04-11-2005 02:15 PM
I'll hook you up if you want. I have all of their albums.

Sounds good. If you want to, just yousendit a song or two. I don't like trading/downloading entire albums.

You dealing with a crying woman????

Shred Danson 04-11-2005 02:19 PM

You've obviously never been with a real woman before, have you, Lars? And no, blow-up dolls do not count.

Dried Muffin Remnants 04-11-2005 02:20 PM

Good one.

superpeer 04-11-2005 02:21 PM

Hehe, apparently my girlfriend's brother "heard us" at night when I was stoned and she was really stoned and I was sleeping over.

Good times.

Illmatic 04-11-2005 02:22 PM

Lars: Just stop.

Jelle: How old is the brother?

Shred Danson 04-11-2005 02:23 PM

Course i wouldn't slap a woman!!! Its the other way round duh!!!
Go to your room, boy.

Ray, how's it hangin' (I don't mean it like that)?

superpeer 04-11-2005 02:24 PM
Lars: Just stop.

Jelle: How old is the brother?
He's 13 or 14, I think. Big guy though, he's taller than me. He gets along with my girlfriend very well though, and he probably secretly admires me too.

LarsAgi007 04-11-2005 02:24 PM

And i agree with you, its hard to stand there and watch a woman crying... I was rather unsure of what to do earlier in the week when we were looking at my 8 month olds grave, she died of menengitis earlier this year, I dont really get emotional, but she does, I just gave her a hug, promised it will all be ok.. There is not really much more you can say though...

Illmatic 04-11-2005 02:26 PM

Jelle: oic. My girlfriend's brother is 21, so I don't want to know what would happen if he "heard us" Of course, he's a cool guy, so I doubt he'd fly off the handle.

ICB: Everything's fine.

LarsAgi007 04-11-2005 02:27 PM
