NP - Myself playing Painkiller on guitar. :eek:
mmm, im gonna play the sweeps now. Great solo |
I hardly know any of the song. I just guessed around on some of the verses. I should learn how to play the song...
I know most of the riffs. I haven't touch the solo yet, and I don't intend to.
What are some other good Priest albums? I only have Painkiller and Angel Of Retribution.
Go back to the early stuff. I would get Unleashed In The East next, and then maybe Stained Class or Screaming For Vengeance.
Yeah, I would definitely get Unleashed In The East. Screaming For Vengeance is good to. The Hellion/Electric Eye is one of my favourite Priest tracks.
Will do!
Lochness is a really good song. Its my favorite off of Angel of Retribution.
it was a great song but i would say demonizer is better |
Whoa... who are you?
diamonds and rust is awesome
Is that a song or an album?
It's a song.
From which album?
No doubt Priest is one of the best bands ever. Everything about their music is mind-blowing. I like all their songs that I heard. Painkiller and Burn in hell are really evil man! |_|
Diamonds And Rust is from Sin After Sin. Just so you know... it's actually a cover.
Joan Baez was a folk rock singer though, so it isn't a note for note cover, per se. It's still a kickarse song, by any standards.
I like the acoustic version they play live. Halford gets to show off more than in the normal version.
I'm gonna pick up Sin After Sin if they have it in FYE.
They might. It was re-released not too long ago, so you might find a copy.

I would go with Sad Wings of Destiny. |
Which album sounded the most like Painkiller?
Which album sounded the most like Painkiller?
Probably Angel of Retribution or Ram It Down. |
I have Angel Of Retribution already. Now I have three albums I need to get.
I quite like the original version of Diamonds and Rust.
What is different about it then the remastered?
No one posted in this thread for two months? This is criminal.
why is it that no one seems to mention how awesome Dreamer Deceiver and Deceiver are? Glenn's solo in Dreamer Deceiver is so good it's almost painful to listen to. One of Priest's best slow solos (but still not as good as Rock hard ride free :D) |
Criminal indeed.
Painkiller = Perfect |
Criminal indeed.
Painkiller = Perfect
i loved painkiller. |
Painkiller is fricking awesome.
We need new blood in this thread. |

Nice. New conversation then.
I finally got around to buying British Steel (found it for $7 used), and I actually find it better than it gets credit for. Rapid Fire is awesome. |
