I saw AB/CD live, never seen AC/DC live though.

rippa32 02-09-2005 10:27 PM
ive got all the albums Bon released on record :D only listened to em once so they wont get damaged i have his autograph as well :D
How did you get his autograph?

rippa32 02-11-2005 05:49 PM

Anyone heard Big Gun? I had to download it beause its not on any of the albums. (Should of been put on Ballbreaker as an extra IMO) I like it. What does everyone think of the song?

thickasabrick 02-11-2005 05:51 PM

I've heard Big Gun, good song, although a little generic. (typical AC/DC)

edit- AC/DC albums I have:

Vinyl
Dirty Deeds
Let There Be Rock (my favourite)
Highway To Hell
Back In Black
For Those About to Rock

CD
Dirty Deeds
Let There Be Rock
Powerage
Back In Black
The Razors Edge

rippa32 02-11-2005 06:12 PM

Did you buy those vinyl albums yourself or were they handed down from you're parents?

Broken Arrow 02-11-2005 06:14 PM

I have If You Want Blood on viynl and a bunch of CDs. I don't listen to them much but they were cheap and at the time they were probably my favourite band.

Brewer14 02-11-2005 08:22 PM

Let there be Rock or If you Want Blood are probably my favorite AC/DC albums. People give all the attention to Live, but Blood is better in my opinion.

rippa32 02-12-2005 05:07 AM

Actually you will notice that in this thread Blood gets more attention.

AB/CD 02-12-2005 06:09 AM

some1 asked how i got Bons autograph. dad used to be a big fan and during the highway to hell tour they played Belfast anyway they went to some pub and my dad and his mates went down to it after the show and saw Angus Bon and Malcolm asked for their autographs and then when i got into AC/dC like 2 years ago my dad gave me his autograph

rippa32 02-14-2005 10:14 PM

^ I would love to just meet Angus Malcolm and Bon (well okay bit hard to meet bon).

So can anyone here play an instrument and if so whats you're favourite AC/DC song to play?

¡monkeysonmars! 02-18-2005 06:23 PM

Back in black is the only song worth playing.

rippa32 02-19-2005 03:29 AM

I know a thread has been started about this but it's been 25 years to the day today since Bon Scotts death. RIP

Timidus 02-19-2005 04:14 AM

lol I only started playing the guitar 2 weeks ago, so the only AC/DC song I know how to play is Hells Bells :)

rippa32 02-19-2005 05:12 AM

I havnt been playing too long either. Well about 4 months. AC/DC songs I can play are Back in Black and Shook Me All Night, but I cant play the solos.

Rasta Rocker 02-19-2005 05:05 PM

I love 'em, but their songs are really easy...atleast for bass

AB/CD 02-19-2005 05:13 PM

they r a simple band tho they just make catchy songs they dont go out and say right we r gonna make the hardest fastest solo we can they just make a easy solo

CreepingDeath~ 02-19-2005 05:18 PM
showoff :p
Not really, I think some one who has played drums for maybe a month could play all of them. They are all really easy (for drums at least).

maddog87 02-19-2005 05:25 PM

angus has a way of making a solo seem really easy, but it ends up to be pretty hard. there was one part in "back in black" that was only like 3 seconds long but took me about a month to learn it.he is way underrated

AB/CD 02-19-2005 05:33 PM

he also very small

Kardi The Lobet 02-19-2005 05:38 PM

He's your classic guitar playing Hick from Australia...Who then becomes famous along with his brother in a rock n roll band...Very common... :)

maddog87 02-19-2005 05:41 PM
he also very small
him and malcom are only like five feet two inches.

AB/CD 02-19-2005 05:53 PM

ah but least their feet can touch the ground when they sit in chairs lol i remember reading an interview and angus and brian were racing round the table on their chairs

BludgeonySteve 02-19-2005 05:54 PM

AC/DC are very short. Exept for their drummer(s).

maddog87 02-19-2005 06:00 PM

I think bon was 5'5.somewhere around there.i think that bon was a better singer than brian. however, brian does have a good, high-pitched growl when he sings. it gives him alot of personality

AB/CD 02-19-2005 06:04 PM

any1 know who was gonna do lead before angus and what his excuse was for not doing it

rippa32 02-19-2005 06:06 PM

Yes it was Malcolm. The reason was that playing lead guitar would interfere with his drinking.

AB/CD 02-19-2005 06:08 PM

yeah thats right i just figured id ask it cos im very bored i guess if malcolm had of done lead the band would be very different

maddog87 02-19-2005 06:13 PM
any1 know who was gonna do lead before angus and what his excuse was for not doing it
malcom was going to do it but said it interfered with his drinking

rippa32 02-19-2005 06:14 PM

Well actually he played lead in one song, can't remember which one. I think it was can I sit next to you girl.
