That 311 & dave concert sounds sweet. I love how dave and the band incorporate many different sounds and instruments into the mix...and 311....just chill like you said. Man a doobie and a cold one.....very nice.


Bands that make their logos into hieroglyphs....thumbs down. Really, does not help your advertising/marketing.

I just went to DC101 chili cook off, local alternative station in D.C. area and saw:

STP, AIC, Cage The Elephant, Switchfoot, Anberlin and Tears of Mars (local BoB winner)


I am going to the Rockstar Mayhem Festival again this year......Korn, Atreyu and Lamb of God are the ones I'm really looking forward to seeing.


Probably about it though, strapped for cash, ya know.

My tickets for Tool, Tom Petty, and Iron Maiden/Dream Theater are all magneted to the fridge. Summer . Is . Awesome

As well as Stanley Jordan, Medeski Martin and Wood, and there's also a lot of decent free shows in Rochester such as the entire Jazz Festival, War, Galactic, and some local bands that are better than anything discussed on these boards

Boris + Russian Circles is the only show I know I want to make

and I'll actually be 19 so I wont have to worry about not making it in

Might see Laudanum and Bloody Panda on Monday.

I saw Boris twice in one weekend last month and both times were incredible.

Got Garcia Plays Kyuss coming up in London. Going down for two days, and need to decide if the second day is going to be the day before or the day after; if I go down for the day before, the Sword have just confirmed at Barfly. The day after, Reginald D Hunter's playing.

About a fortnight after Brant Bjork's playing London too. He's supporting Garcia for the rest of Europe but for the UK it's seperate dates. Pity I can't afford to go to London twice :(

what you listen to a good band ?

I saw Slough Feg and The Gates of Slumber on friday, next show might be Zoroaster, Black Tusk, and Dark Castle

AIC is great

yeah they're one of the best bands so far

Summer Slaughter looks pretty good, might end up going

seeing The Ghost Inside in a few days, should be good

Cynic are touring with Intronaut and Dysrhythmia, might try and go see that.
