Shattered_Future 08-12-2007 05:13 PM

I don't like CS. It doesn't work for Mac, and what I've played of it either didn't work or bored me to tears.

Kage 08-12-2007 05:17 PM

Of course it doesn't work for Mac, very few games do. What does that have to do with anything? Just put Windows on your Mac. Or do you have one of the old pieces of junk with a power pc processor? ROFL
I don't like CS. It doesn't work for Mac, and what I've played of it either didn't work or bored me to tears.
Same here. When I first played I hated it, but now that they have deathmatches and the gungame so its a lot more fun and fast paced

Shattered_Future 08-12-2007 05:18 PM

Nah, I got one of those new iMacs, but Windows is too much of a ****ing hassle to mess around with. I hardly ever play computer games anymore either. Though I need to get Quake 4 eventually...

Tyler 08-12-2007 05:23 PM

holy **** im so hungover. 13 beers, two glasses of wine and two glasses of champagne is really not something i can handle.

nice avatar elim

Kage 08-12-2007 05:23 PM

Windows isn't really a hassle, you just download it and install it and use it whenever you need to.

Do you use Bootcamp or Parallels?

I'm getting my Macbook soon, so Im curious.
Pansy.
Dude I'm a lightweight and that was a lot of alcohol. I had some Goldshlaager too but not much. Seriously though I weigh like 140 pounds cut me some slack.

"2 beers, 3 shots a jager, 4 bong hits man, a cheeseburger.."

funny because its true...and yes champagne is a no-no for this guy

I jest, I jest.

It is certainly enough alcohol for someone to have a good night with, especially if you don't drink too often.

I've only been getting drunk for like 7 months, and yeah it was necessary because I got dragged out clubbing.

We went to some club called "Blurr", which perfectly describes my recollection of the night
Do you use Bootcamp or Parallels?

Both, actually. Parallels is great for small tasks like using a program you like that isn't made for Mac (make sure you've got at least 2GB of RAM, though, it's a pain in the *** otherwise), but it doesn't have 3D graphics support yet so playing games on it that are relatively new either sucks or is impossible.

That said, using bootcamp isn't too inconvenient, you just have to restart your computer and shave off a chunk of your harddrive for space on the Windows partition. It will be better when they release Leopard because when you restart to use Windows, it will just put the Mac side on sleep so you don't lose your progress in any programs you were running.

It's really nice having access to any operating system ever all on one computer.

You weren't REALLY drunk if you can remember how much you drank

unless you have the empties lying around or something

Yeah, I figure I would mostly just use Bootcamp because emulating windows seems like it could be hit or miss.

Is Bootcamp out of Beta stage yet though? Regardless, I don't plan on using Windows much once I get my Mac.

I know how much beer I had because the drinks were 3 dollars and I spent 40. The rest I pieced together from pictures and blurry memories

pulseczar 08-12-2007 05:33 PM

my computer has 239MB of RAM... is that why it sucks?

This is why I'm not looking forward to going to bars

mine has 760 and it still sucks
This is why I'm not looking forward to going to bars
I love going to bars, I just usually pre-drink. I didn't plan on getting that drunk until I got to the club and realized I hate clubs. There was a smoke machine and everything.

Lunch 08-12-2007 05:40 PM

Bars are a great time for sure, but no matter how much I drink before going I'm the kind of person who would just keep spending money on beer

I use it for playing games every once in a while, and for watching .avi movies with subtitle files because I have yet to find a competent subtitle program for Mac.

yeah for as much as you pay for 4 shot of something you could buy a bottle of the same stuff. i.e. I bought 5 shots of jager the other night and it came to about $35-38. you can buy a 5th for almost $25

Tyler 08-12-2007 05:48 PM

VLC? I'm sure the mac version is the same, and with VLC you just open the subtitle file alongside the video.

Kage 08-12-2007 05:49 PM

I've tried that but it never fucking worked. I always thought it should because VLC is the cure-all for all things media, but for some reason I always got an error. Lemme try it again.
