AGAINSTME!'sbass 10-09-2005 04:46 PM

Underage Drinking is cool too.

rawdog 10-10-2005 01:50 AM

AIRIC 10-10-2005 10:34 AM

I was playing around, using the recording feature from iPod Linux, and I recorded myself playing "Those Anarcho Punks Are Mysterious"...at least the bass part. It's recognizable. There aren't really mistakes as in the wrong note, but there are some pauses that are slightly extended.

The volume is a little bit low, sorry.

edit - here's a few more links, in case the first gets used up, I know there's lots of people on MX.

Keep in mind, I've been playing for a month. Even though, anyone who's ever picked up a bass could play that. Oh, and I did it with my fingers, a style of playing I don't do often.

You need to just work on being more steady, keeping in time :thumb:

Liebensaft 10-12-2005 04:50 AM

Yeah, a metronome would be nice to have.

rawdog 10-12-2005 05:27 PM
Yeah, a metronome would be nice to have.
Yes, yes it would.

Liebensaft 10-12-2005 05:55 PM

I found a couple references to sites with metronome mp3's for anywhere from 40-200 something bpm. I should find those.

thepo 10-13-2005 01:51 PM

Look what I found on another message board:

http://s65.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2PCRYHZX1VJN13KLRWPKVLYU3G

It's a cover of a song written by Bob Dylan and performed by Old Crow Medicine Show. It's just tom and his acoustic guitar. You can't not love it.

AndreTheHyena 10-13-2005 01:52 PM

I am about to shit myself.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 01:55 PM

Can't wait to hear it.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 02:43 PM

Wow that ruled.

AndreTheHyena 10-13-2005 02:57 PM

Not too bad.

Liebensaft 10-13-2005 05:07 PM

That was...awesome. I can't stop listening to it.

obese_breasts 10-13-2005 05:34 PM

That is damn fine song you have found.

thepo 10-13-2005 05:43 PM

It's supposed to be released on the 16th on a Fat Wreck comp. I hope it ends up on an EP along with others like it, and acoustic versions of songs off SFAFC.

Anarcho Poser 10-13-2005 07:19 PM

Tom's my hero.

obese_breasts 10-13-2005 07:21 PM

I would love to hear some Acoustic versions of SFAFC songs.

DaveToopes 10-13-2005 07:21 PM

Werd.

Anarcho Poser 10-13-2005 07:22 PM

Me too, as long as they don't have those long, boring-as-hell intros that consist of 3 notes let ring for five years.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 08:04 PM

I downloaded that comp and it rules.

AndreTheHyena 10-13-2005 11:14 PM

Honestly, I think my band's version of "Wagon Wheel" is better than Tom's. Don't get me wrong, I really dig it, but his voice just isn't quite right for a Dust Bowl ballad.

That's a bold statement. Can you upload your band's version?
