When i first heard te date of sep 20th, its seemed pretty close, but now that i actually heard a song from the album, it seems far away.
That's exactly my point! At first I was like "Cool, a few months away. Awesome". Now it's "F*CKING SEPTEMBER! ****IT!" |

I really haven't listened to Coheed & Cambria. I have the newest album. Favor House Atlantic is a good song. The first song, I forgot the title, is really good.
|
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3?
Unless youre talking about the orchestral piece, but i doubt it. |
Yeah that one. I forgot the title. What I have listened to its pretty good. Any recommendations?

On that CD:
The crowing 2113 (track 23) Cuts Marked In The March Of Men I liked all of it though, so you might as well give it a listen. If youre looking for things to download from their other CD, try: Time Consumer Devil In Jersey City Everything Evil 33 Junesong Provision But again, i liked every song on that album as well, so its not like ther est of the stuff is bad. |

Nope, you have all of the songs except 2113. tracks 12 through 22 are just a few seconds of silence, 2113 is a not-so-hidden hidden song. |

I still like In Keeping Secrets...(the song) better than Welcome Home. I like most of the song, I just don't really like the guitar solo, I'm not really into Coheed as a band doing the whole generic crap (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, chorus, crappy solo). I like most of the rest of the song though. I just have a phobia of guitar solos, especially when I don't hear them often with the band.

Im checking out the lyrics to it.
Hwat do you all think its about? Claudio sid the CD is from the writers perspective, and if oyu have the first comic, the narrator is either the unnamed boy that is with jesse or claudio. I dont know if he means it like that (the narrator) or if he means the perosn writing the fictional story. If he menas a person writing a fiction story in the real world, ten the song is obvioulsy killing off a character that is causing troubles with the storywriting process. /keeps listening |
Whens the new album out?
|
20th September apparently.
|
Oh, thats a while yet, oh well, still im excited for it.

But, of course, notice how some of the lyrics are wrong. I can't hear it and say "It's supposed to say 'this' instead of 'that'" but I can hear it and say "That's not what's written infront of me". One line that I do know the difference between, is "But you took the time to do..." is actually supposed to read "But you, just as I presumed...". Listen to it, and try to tell me I'm wrong. And on another note... does anybody else realize that this song is actually Anything For You/Kashmire but under a different name? I still love it, but this is really a studio recording of it with a few added elements and a new name. *shrugs* Meh. Still kicks ***. :thumb: |

And everyone is still debating about the jesus line, nobody sure of what is said after "like jesus...". |
You could've been all i wanted
But you weren't honest now get in the ground You choked off the surest of favors but if you really loved me you would have endured my world well if youre just as i presumed a whore in Sheeps clothing ****ing up all i do And if so here we stop then never again will you see this in your light hang on to the glory of my right hand here lay to rest is our love everlong we're two from shores of compassion you seemed to take premise to all of these souls you stormed off to scar the armada (like Jesus plagued letter, like Jesus they nailed her, like Jesus played let her, like Jesus they lay there, like Jesus bled later?) I'll drill through your hands the stone for curse you have blamed me with love and devotion you'll die as you sleep but if you could just write me up to never mis wander happy will I become be true that this is no option so its in , condemn you demon raging in love hang on to the glory of my right hand here lay to rest is our love everlong we're two from shores of compassion you seemed to take premise to all of these souls one last kiss for you one more waste to you please make up your mind girl id do anything for you one last kiss for you one more waste to you please make up your mind girl before i hope you die **This is the most correct version of the lyrics except the Jesus line** |
Well, listening to just that ONE LINE over and over again, I can catch "Like Jesus plagued..."
|
It seriously could be anything. No point in trying to figure it out.
|
I ****ing love it. I'm so glad it's harder than stuff from their last album. I hope the whole CD is like this..
|
Any thinking on what the song means in terms of the story?
|
Well, more then anything, it's obviously all about Newo and Claudio. The way I see it, it's supposed to be that Newo did something to really piss Claudio off, like maybe betrayed him in some way, and he's kind of telling her to f*ck off.
Any thinking on what the song means in terms of the story?
I think this 'writers perspective' thing means that the writer, real-life claudio, uses characters in his sci-fi story that represent real people in his life to express how he feels towards them. I think in the real-life part of the story, claudios fly honey (newo) cheated on him, so he killed off her character in the story. Notice the lines "but if you really loved me, you would have endured my world", referring to the world he created where he plays god and everything can go his way, and "Hang on to the glory of my right hand", which is the hand he writes with, meaning he doesnt really want to kill her off. Also,Ive seen plenty of theories that claudio in the sci-fi story is the coming of god talked about in the comics (if man interferes with gods work, god will something something blah blah use the fires of sirius blahblah). This makes my idea work better, because 'god' of the sci-fi world would be real-life claudio, and his influence on the story would be sci-fi claudio, making the sci-fi claudio god in character form. Whaddaya think? |
Could someone upload the new song(s) to YSI please...
