Berzerker of the ban button.

Stupid people like that need to get away from the internet.

I usually just tell them to read the rules, but I'll give them a piece sometimes.

Dancin' Man 08-21-2004 11:07 PM

I think I'll call you numbers from now on. I get lost after 3074

3074326 08-21-2004 11:09 PM

That'll work. Chris would also work, but numbers is something people call me a good bit too. :thumb:

Should be moved to classifieds

Oh, and can you mods look at doing something about the underrated/overrated threads... every bloke-and-sheila seems to be making one every two seconds. It's just not interesting anymore. Thanks

meteor_47 08-22-2004 03:26 AM
I think I moved it.
Where?? I want to see the feedback.. it was against punk like all '101 rules' that's why i posted it in rock n metal..

superpeer 08-22-2004 05:45 AM

Pop punk, I think. I don't need a horde of close minded idiots to laugh and comment at how bad pop punk is.

Got the one in the quote, the other didn't seem too bad.

I'm getting tired of the under-rated/over-rated threads too. Superpeer and SFK, what do you think about them?

I've already closed a few in time. Especially when it's spelled like 'Underated' or 'Overated'.

3074326 08-22-2004 01:31 PM

Alright, I'll start closing them.

Bartender 08-22-2004 02:03 PM

Just base it on each individual one. If it's something unoriginal and overdone, treat it like any other overdone thread and kill it. If it looks like it might actually get a decent discussion going, keep it. The rules do have some flexibility, or should do, anyway.

superpeer 08-22-2004 02:04 PM

Indeed. Silly Chris.

Ghost_Of_Saul 08-22-2004 02:14 PM

hi im new here but wot does that 123 stuff mean i dont get it and sry if this has been asked b4

3074326 08-22-2004 02:15 PM

The character limit used to be three characters. People used to just quote messages and not say anything if they agreed with someone.

When someone quotes someone else and says 123, they're just agreeing.

Ghost_Of_Saul 08-22-2004 02:19 PM

ahh kk i get it thanx

Don't you have something better to do.

Dancin' Man 08-22-2004 03:24 PM

123

EDIT: That was a test to see if it was still the limit. It is.

Someone ran a count, and there were a total of 3,648 threads like that one.

As long as it doesn't turn into a flame war, that's alright. It's tied with music, unlike some of the other recent political discussion in R&M.

I hate to do this because, should it have been started in the drum section of the site, it would've worked out great, but I just wanna start cleaning up the R&M section I remember so we can have on-topic, healthy discussions about angry or loud music.

Stevie_P 08-22-2004 08:54 PM

is the megadeth thread worthy of being an "offical" thread?

superpeer 08-23-2004 08:33 AM

Probably not.

Thinks that people in rock and metal actually care about making music...

SonorKen 08-23-2004 07:11 PM

Am I the only one getting tired of all the "Game" threads???

Kingofdudes 08-23-2004 07:18 PM

its funny that those threads make up more than half of some people's post counts
