I like the overall fell of it, and the "choir" in the background. What did you use to make it?

weaboo 02-24-2010 09:24 PM

mspaint

Meatplow 02-24-2010 09:25 PM

freedom stick

Nepenthe 02-24-2010 09:25 PM

Jaundice 02-24-2010 09:25 PM

i forgot how to write music

might try something different or difficult music

RouteOne 02-24-2010 09:25 PM

I have the trial version of FL studios. I was making some stuff on it the other day.

TimJim 02-24-2010 09:26 PM

Jason gave me Fruity Loops and i couldnt figure out how to use it very effectively

Jaundice 02-24-2010 09:26 PM

I've never made music with anything other than FL Studio

thinking i should try something more traditional like violin maybe

Nepenthe 02-24-2010 09:27 PM

its not bad at all for a sequencer as long as youre using VSTs and/or samples

Jaundice 02-24-2010 09:28 PM

I've never used any VSTs other than the basics it came with

but idk that little cheesy WASP synth and a hell of a lot of samples always seemed to be enough to make basic noise with

Nepenthe 02-24-2010 09:31 PM

i havent used any kind of VST or synth or anything on these past 2 songs, purely samples. and then i just do the drums and percussion and masterfully craft the samples from wildly different source materials into coherent and awesome musak. that song is made from samples of The Fountain soundtrack and the october tide riff that i chopped up and screwed a little. yesterday i made a song from a post hardcore albums outro, the Ravenous soundtrack, and some reversed feedback from my guitar.

weaboo 02-24-2010 09:31 PM

i didnt like fl 2 much

I thought you were a proud pirate.

Jaundice 02-24-2010 09:43 PM

I don't want to deal with the learning curve of using another DAW.
I thought you were a proud pirate.
i pirated fl

i tried pirating pro tools but that **** is too confusing and i could never get it to work

masscows 02-24-2010 09:51 PM

whoa antoine thanks for posting that site, i've been looking for an mp3 streaming site that isn't myspace all day

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1042975

some samples i have recorded for my folk/bm band Whim, I have a vocalist and a drummer too but I haven't recorded anything with them yet. No songs are totally done but these are just some guitar tidbits (sloppy as bawls).

Let me know what you guys think :D
