good rats 03-05-2005 01:29 AM

Hey!

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 01:49 AM

Hey.

Okay, quick...

Ric 4003 or MM Stingray?

gaslight 03-05-2005 01:51 AM

I'd take a Stingray but that's just my personal preference.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 01:54 AM

Ugh. Im torn between the two. Prices are nearly the same. I love the tone on both.

good rats 03-05-2005 02:23 AM

I'd go with the Stingray.

PaulR 03-05-2005 02:25 AM

Stingray.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 02:32 AM

But rics are so pretty...

PaulR 03-05-2005 02:35 AM

As are Stingrays. Also, they sound awesome and are great to play.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 02:43 AM

*sigh* your right. I just want a ric. and a flea bass. and a warwick thumb. and a stingray 5. and an ampeg svt. and a girlfriend :(

PaulR 03-05-2005 02:51 AM

Ditto. Except I want Fleas ACTUAL bass.

Pssh. Girls suck. Being single has been cool lately. Find some drunk girls.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 02:53 AM

I want a girlfriend for the relationship...

PaulR 03-05-2005 02:56 AM

Your choice I guess.

I want to meet someone like "perfect" - well... someone I can at least share thoughts and opinions with, and have some common interests with.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 02:59 AM

^^That would be good.

Im just afraid to ask this one girl out :(

gaslight 03-05-2005 03:00 AM

I've been trying to get a giant knot out of my hair for like 10 hours.

If I had a girlfriend she'd know what to do :upset:.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:00 AM

Do you think ric would be good for prog metal?

If not, what bass would be?

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:02 AM
I've been trying to get a giant knot out of my hair for like 10 hours.

Oh, that sucks. I remember when I dreaded my hair and my mom made me take em out... it hurt bad.

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:04 AM
^^That would be good.

Just do it. Its like the thing with plasters, quick and hopefully painless.

If she says no, scream directly in her face and run away.

Cut the knot out?

Geddy Lee bass?

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:07 AM
Geddy Lee bass?
Has neck problems. Also, Im not a jazz bass guy.

Whats a plaster?

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:09 AM
Has neck problems. Also, Im not a jazz bass guy.
Right, then maybe the Ric. How come you want it for prog?

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:09 AM
Whats a plaster?
A band-aid... if thats what you call them.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:11 AM
Right, then maybe the Ric. How come you want it for prog?
Im starting a band with a guitarist/ drmmer friend of mine. Were sick of all the stupid emo/ nu-metal spin off bands that play at battle of the bands, so were starting a prog metal band. Were both talented musicianship-wise (i guess) and prog seems like a good genre for us. and a Ric seems like it has a great prog tone.

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:17 AM

I want to be in a prog band. It would be pretty cool. I'd just use my Yamaha.

John Myung uses a Yamaha...

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:22 AM

John Myung is awesome, but 6's arent my thing.

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:26 AM

Personal preference I guess.

I've just realised, I'm going to have to go and get up properly soon. I'm going into town to try out basses and guitars, and my friend is ringing me at 10... its like 9:25 now. And I wanted to do some work first. And I need to have a wash and argghhh. Knowing me, I'll leave it for like another 20 minutes anyway.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:29 AM

^^Haha, its 1:25 AM here and boring cats and dogs outside. Im going to GC today in about 10 hours to play some Rics, Warwicks, and MM Stingrays.

PaulR 03-05-2005 03:32 AM

Ahh. Screw it. I'm going to get changed.

Nice talking to ya.

Bye...

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-05-2005 03:32 AM

C ya.

good rats 03-05-2005 03:40 AM

I've always wanted to have a good playing session on a Ric. Maybe next weekend I'll go down to Eastgate Music, try one out.
