Cake is an amazing band

I really wanna see Walk the Line and the new Harry Potter movie

TakeWarning 11-19-2005 02:35 AM
No.

People who think that are just caught up in their own elitism.
It's true.

PDWAB 11-19-2005 02:42 AM

Yeah, the market has fragmented so much. There are THOUSANDS of bands and groups and artists that have SO many different styles. It is literally insane.

And I am TOTALLY in with this chick here. /humps air

chumpradio 11-19-2005 03:11 AM

Wooooooooooo, I'm playing a gig tonight.
It should be great. Also intending on asking out a girl I like. If all goes well, this will be a great day.

Excursions 11-19-2005 03:37 AM
But there's so much more variety. Like there's the new stuff, but there's also the new stuff that sounds like old stuff. Though I prefer the new stuff that sounds new, there are plenty of bands that sound like the same old...

I can't say I like Aesop Rock though I've not heard Common.
I don't get the first bit, their is more variety in new music is that what you mean? I really don't fucking care anymore Vince to be honest because the era of a band doesn't really bother me as long as they make enjoyable music. In saying that though I am finding less and less artists these days that I enjoy, I might even say music is going on a downward spiral especially in terms of punk and pop punk music. I guess it's a matter of taste.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-19-2005 04:29 AM

Ergh, what a wierd night.

Started off gay coz only people who had tickets could get in becuase there was like 50 too many getting in, and i lost my ticket but one of the members put me on the guest list and some of my mates photocopied some tickets at a shop so everyone got in.
The first adn last abnds were pretty ****ty, boring generic screaming rock/metal but my mates band were awesome and the crowd were reall up for them.

Then right near the end of thenight i went into the pit and my glasses got knocked from my head, fell on the floor got trampled on by about 20 people then i picked them up and they were snapped in half and the lenses scratched as fuc'k. :(

Then i had to walk home by myself :(

Untitled 11-19-2005 04:53 AM

Outside looks well pretty today, its all frosty and all the grass is white and frozen, as are the roof tops, and everythings it looks hot.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-19-2005 04:55 AM

Crap, and my Dad just told me that "one of your idiot friends rang at 1 last night pretending to be form spec-savers" :(
Dammit Jas, why are you working with Victory Records? Everyone knows they are like the Sith of the pop-punk/post-hardcore music industry!
 Really? I am working with them as Streetlight Manifesto should have a new album coming out on Victory at some point soon, & I want free copies in advance. All the other free stuff is just an advantage, lol, I only have one target :D
By the way, if you still have any, can you mail me one (Assuming it doesn't cost money).
I would, but literally all of them went!! People really love free CDs. However I expect I'll get a whole bunch more of same/similar ones in the next couple of weeks, & I'll keep one back for you if I do.

I don't have a haeadache, but I feel kind of queasy & I have severe shakes. Hah this is exactly why I've been avoiding whiskey the past couple months :upset: Thank god I don't have to leave my room til like 7 today. I'm going to see Pickled Dick, Mybe & Short Warning up the road. Never a dull moment in Londinium :)

Kif 11-19-2005 06:15 AM

Wow I wasn't expecting a quote from Jas, thanks :D

Yeah, free CDs go like crazy. Probably because they are free heh. I've still got mine of some crappy support band for Pennywise, haven't listened to it yet either actually.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-19-2005 06:21 AM

Wow, hardest guitar lesson ever, i was doing sweep picking arpeggios, really fast, my finger is battered and i'm going to have some lunch, then go into town and try and get my glasses fixed :(

Kif 11-19-2005 06:25 AM

Not heard The Maple State or The Junior Varsity, but the other three are good cds.

Kif 11-19-2005 06:55 AM

The Maple State are on my new podcast, The Junior Varsity are more like Saves The Day style pop-punk. Both great bands, and TMS are from Manchester

PDWAB 11-19-2005 07:00 AM
